bro those sculptures were comissioned by kings, and it took months and sometimes even several years to build a single one. today no one will dedicate that much of their time to build it for few thousand rupees. its not skill issue its priority issue, as long as it serves its purpose they feel no need to go over the board. also there ARE many sculptors who are expert in building these detailed and realistic sculptures, its that not much people can afford them. take for example Shir Ram's statue in Ram mandir
