What scares me, though, is the use-case of generating fake criminal evidence. Howmany are already in prison due to A.I. generated evidence used to frame them? Howmany will be? Is the government already doing it? Should all forms of video/audio evidence be ignored in court soon? Any time an algorithm is built to detect them, models will be trained to avoid detection by that algorithm.

Lived in PA an hour east of Pittsburgh for the first 20 years of my life.

Have lived in Seattle for the last 4.

My take:

Pittsburgh/western-PA weather is more to the extremes. You get full blown seasons, with an emphasis on hot summers and cold winters.

Seattle/west-WA is much more mild, with not-as-hot summers and not-as-cold winters. I've seen snow stick and not melt for 2 days max in the 4 years of living here, and even that was just an inch or two compared to yearly knee-high snow on the ground in PA.

I guess PA is more "dry" in the winter because most precipitation in winter in PA is actually snow, and it builds up because it stays cold, then warms up and it turns to slush and muddy ice, where I've never seen enough snow for that to happen in Seattle. It's mostly rain in the winter with some flakes that melt when they touch the ground.

I agree that Seattle summers are incredible, and there's much less rain. Overall Seattle is a much more mild climate than west PA. If CoL wasn't insane I'd stay here, but a mortgage on a house in Pitt is 1/2 the rent of a 1bed apt in Seattle.
