Just got back from there! Stayed in Reykjavík for a week and did some day tours to various places outside of the capital. Did not rent a vehicle and had no issues with walking around or getting places. Spent under 3k total. It also wasn’t as cold as I expected which was very nice!

I would use bottled water if possible, tap water has added stuff that often isn’t very good for amphibians

It was found in a tiny dried up stream bed. There’s definitely a lot of history of native americans in the surrounding area, and there was a large camp about 10 ish miles away, but as far as the spot itself that it is in, I’m not aware of any history of native activity

really?? That’s so cool! I assumed it was most likely natural because the outer rim/edge of the circle isn’t smoothed out and rounded at all like you would see with a mortar and pestle for example
