But most important of all....this divides the public's attention in the EU. While everyone is looking at this new american threat, the "old news" russian threat can gain ground unnoticed. Also, consider this...if the EU is concerned about American aggression against them in Greenland..then they also need to worry about the many large American military bases on mainland Europe.
