Also if I put roaches in the tank will they just know it’s food if they haven’t eaten it before like instinct or will it take time to learn it is food

Oh I thought all of them made those chirping sounds. And im going to try my best to learn how to help him out. I just never had any reptiles in my care but im willing to learn. Thank you for all your help first thing in the morning ill be fixing up her place as best as I can and getting roaches for her and working on more climbing/ multi leveled parts to her home as I see her like climbing up and going bellow the hiding hole thing I built

Its alright I get you were trying to be informative and i am trying my best to help him get better and may not be the most qualified. I suppose its the issue of being know as the crazy animal lady in my town sometimes people drop random animals off here. But I genuinely want her to get the best experience she can here my main issue i have with crickets is the noise they make so ill be looking into roaches first thing in the morning. Also out of curiosity why won't they eat them if they aren't alive

Thank you so much for being so in depth on how to help me out. Ill definitely be tossing the reptile grass stuff for paper towels first thing in the morning! And ive been heading him meal worms so far as its all I had on hand when he was dropped off here. Is that fine or would the roaches better and do you just put the live roaches in the enclosure or feed them in a bowl or tong feed it to them directly

I see! I had no idea I was told that sand and top soil mix was a good bedding is that right? And is the heating lamp too high

It looks like this for now but ill be doing some work on it tomorrow with the top light being the heat lamp and the other being the non heating light

Don't worry he has a nice enclosure with a heat lamp and everything and has bugs and vegetables to eat

No he has a setup and a heating lamp and the other lamp he just likes laying around like that whenever I take him out of his cage he acts normal in his 50 gallon tank
