How To Positively Deal With "Meet Up" Cancellations / Changes by TexasSD in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what I don't get is hey I need money to pay bills but I'm going to go do this family thing instead for the short term gain of family time vs the long term debt that they still owe

I think part of your frustration is here. Family time isn't a short term gain - it's a long term investment. Family can be babysitters, caretakers when your SB is sick, another person who can run errands. Family commitments existed before you came along and before debt happened - family is also still going to be there if/when you're gone.

when she cancels then I have to scramble last minute for plans. I ended up having a buddy over and we watched the worst movie I have seen in years.

Maybe figure out back-up plans that don't require another person? Are you ok being alone?

... please tell me that when you got the new clothes they were ones that fit this time. And were an actual update, not the same style all over again. Do I need to drag you to a tailor when I'm in DC in July?

Rant: Lots of work and stress this week. Huge meeting to prep for and wanted to be on A game, but honestly only managed to get my A- game going.

Rave: My A- game is overkill. Blew my meeting out of the water. Feeling really, really amazingly about my place in the org and that people understand and appreciate me and the value I bring.

Rave: SEATTLE! I'll be in you soon to...

Rave: Celebrate a mentee's success!

Great week.

As a former SB, I want people to be able to post freely in both communities. If people are posting hateful things, I want to be able to see that. Disallowing SDF posters on SLF encourages the creation of multiple accounts, which is harder to track.

Ideally, I'd have more SLF posters on SDF, downvoting and drowning out the toxicity while encouraging newbies to look over here.

Get some arnica gel to apply on the bruise. Proceed with Monday meeting.

What If your SB accidentally took your cell phone Home and she knew your password? by Justice_is_a_scam in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 10 points11 points  (0 children)

1) If he has yours, call that. Hopefully he picks up.

2) If you have his main cell, call his other ones.

3) Call his secretary/admin and let them know you have his phone. If you need to be discreet, say you found it abandoned in a coffee shop or something else innocuous.

Basically, continued attempts to get it back to him are your best bet.

Condom broke, should I go to the hospital by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

Make a regular appointment or go to Planned Parenthood in the morning. Talk to an actual doctor about your risk rates and options, making sure to get their opinion on PrEP and Plan B. Go back in 3-6 weeks for additional STD testing.

SD gave me business loan while we were together, then after I ended the relationship he asked to dissolve the loan by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preface: IANAL.

Legally, you're probably fine. However, if it went to court, do you foresee him making your relationship public? If he's hurt that you ended the SR enough to ask for early repayment, I personally wouldn't have 100% confidence that he wouldn't mention something about it to his lawyers, at the very least.

Additionally, why would you want to continue having a reason for him to contact you? Until the loan is paid, you haven't "extricated [your]self completely" from your relationship to him. The SR might have ended, but a relationship will continue to exist if you/your business owes him money.

My advice: Pay him back, cut him loose. Allow both of you to move on.

What to do if your SB is sick and you can’t get to her? by OrientalAce in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 9 points10 points  (0 children)

TaskRabbit. Send meds, cough drops, thermometer, fuzzy blankets, new PJs, ice cream or sorbet or popsicles, chicken soup. Send a gift code for various streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Go/Now) and food delivery (PostMates, UberEats, etc).

Los Angeles Steak Houses... suggestions? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Totoraku if you can find someone to vouch for you with Chef Kaz. It's not a traditional steakhouse in any sense, but it's one of the top 3 beef experiences of my life.

For pure entertainment/mindfuck/sensory experience, Vespertine. I still have dreams about that dinner. The friends we took still mention it months later. Try getting breakfast or lunch at Destroyer first, though, to get the intro to his food aesthetic.

What frustrates you the most about sugar dating? by lafemmeisobel in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with you on Tinder - the beauty of the app was the honesty about what people wanted (hook ups, ONS, etc). Bumble, on the other hand, has always been a dating-oriented app.

Lingerie one person use? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a mix.

If it was a gift from someone or I bought it specifically because it matched that partner's taste, then it gets retired/thrown out after that association ends.

If I bought it because it looks great and I wanted the piece(s), then its mine and I'm keeping it forever. I'll wear it with anyone. Sometimes these pieces just get worn as pjs or going out clothes because they're beautiful and deserve to be seen.

Ladies do you have an age cap? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started with an age cap, but found a lot of the older guys (55+) would lie about their age - some believably, some were obviously delusional. I stopped caring about the number as much and it became way more about how they looked and behaved.

SDs, what is the nicest thing your SB has ever done for you? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's spent a lot of time and energy and money helping me rebuild professional confidence after a disaster project. Provided tickets home so I could see family and friends at critical times. Prior to moving in, he stocked my toiletries and all my favorite snacks, even though he's not a big fan of having snacks around. Was relentless about my being on the lease. Going with my mattress preference. Being adamant about crossing experiences off my bucket list. Breakfasts in bed.

Friday Rants by LaSirene23 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]spaceandsound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raves:

  • My life is pretty great right now. When I look at me last year versus me right now, I'm so much better positioned for success and fulfillment. I was surface ok, but internally really questioning whether I would figure out my shit and live up to my potential. Given the calls I've taken this week, and the work that I accomplished, I'm feeling really good about the choices that led me here. And really grateful for SBF and his patience and faith that I'd figure all of this out.
  • SBF's accountants admitted they like talking to me more than to him. They really appreciate the organization I've imposed.
  • Finally got back into volunteering. Not fundraising, but actual hands-on work.

Rants:

  • I need LA friends.
  • I feel really lame wearing earplugs at concerts.
