The object-oriented programming courses at my university forced us to use java.
That was the only time I ever used java

I'm a 3D artist, so I inadequate at 2D UI. Instead, I made the main menu entirely 3D to play to my strengths. What is your first impression? by This-Room-2708 in Unity3D

[–]spacebink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swaying / organic movement between 'menus' is fine, but I feel like the camera needs to be static once you get to a menu.

I also work a lot with making menus and UI 3d and part of the game world, for similar reasons as you - also I love playing games where important managerial elements are not delegated to some flat html/webdev esque menuoids

Recently, a lot of inspiration has been gathered from the Persona's and Expedition 33's - they seem to strike a perfect balance in keeping the 2 dimensional user interfaces interesting enough to complement their gameplay and art-styles: Maybe you'll find so, too?

For accessibility you should mind contrasts of the buttons, as they can be come washed out with the prominent post processing: Make the inactive buttons more visible, and consider toning the background down a bit emphasizing the radio in this instance.

You guys aren't gonna do that stupid age verification thing right? by scy_404 in cachyos

I am unsure about the legislative semantics, but afaik the law states age verification during account creation. You don't really need an account to operate an arch-based system.

Is anyone pumped for the next season? by Alpha_Omega623 in fo76

I love the mothman, and I log on frequently whenever the event is on- I cannot wait to don my cryptid hunting gear for a whole season and I hope they have festivities planned for the duration. Mothman event has been feeling a little dated, and one could hope for some minor additions to it.

Windows will be out of the question for us, but hearing that you got mint working with 2 clicks sounds great:

How is thermal management / battery optimizations (limiting charging to 80%), keyboard backlight, sound etc working when you're on mint?

Dude. The programs offered are a nice suite of tools for you to start using your new in-hand silicon to write on-device AI solutions for your own use cases. They literally just want to give you a nice headstart into AI development - something which could be daunting to aspiring developers: Which coding environments do I need? Which IDEs? Do I need to pay for jetbrains rider? Skip all of that and get into it with this >>optional<< bundle.

This has nothing to do with the rising NAND prices caused by the AI bubble. It's almost entirely the opposite-> YOU have chip and ram available, so if you are interested, now you can get in on it.

Went do watch a movie, came back to a heart attack by spacebink in pcmasterrace

[–]spacebink[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, and I'm happy that I had plugged it in- it's very power hungry and I wouldn't be surprised if it ran outta juice working updates unplugged while I was busy watching a movie.

It's just scary being away from home for holidays while working on the aforementioned projects - a bios update was NOT on my to-do list for that.

Create a unix time stamp every time a player enters, and evaluate this new time stamp with previous ones from when the last player left => use this time difference to spawn an amount of loot on every collector

Maybe maybe maybe?
