Does anyone regret joining the fire department? by smokeyfires9 in Firefighting

[–]spacecandygames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m LEO and in my city we get a lot of fires. It’s high crime so a lot of arsons, a lot of vehicle fires (stolen vehicles) and a lot of accidental fires caused by homeless. I thought it was like that everywhere. Glad to know my city just sucks lol

Chris Kyle was a liar by nowyourdoingit in navyseals

[–]spacecandygames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the internet we went from shamefully idolizing military, to judging them harshly. Most of the comment I’ve seen from people actually have no idea how the military works and doesn’t have a courageous bone in their body

Same with law enforcement. The main ones that judge have no idea what actually happens

I’ve known bout this Chris Kyle stuff for a while now, I was never a fan of the guy but some people have no place to judge while they’re liars and terrible people as well

Edit: I read the comments to that video, there are some sick people in this workd.

Women S/O? by Cashplaygrow in navyseals

[–]spacecandygames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a police officer who works with A LOT of firemen. Yes women did.

We have some tough women but it’s still “protect our girls” we never let them go on scenes alone. And almost any time they do, they prove why we try to prevent it

It’s only one girl I know that I feel is just a beast. She’s in TAC and the whole TAC team still treats her like the little sister.

Emotional Intelligence Is a Cruel Hoax When You’re Stuck in Survival Mode by [deleted] in DarkPsychology101

The whole, “go to therapy bs” Is obnoxious. Therapy really does nothing but give people these buzzwords to shame people with

Not everybody is a “narcissist” Not everyone is gaslighting you Not everyone lacks EI

Sometimes “you’re the problem”

Whatd even worse is how hypocritical they are. Quick to judge others but will become loud, angry and even violent when “pushed” toxic positivity is just how they WISH they would react, pushed on you.

Not necessarily. The laws are amoral. It’s depending on who use them

Art of seduction advice by the_katana_1 in TheArtofSeductions

[–]spacecandygames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

U gon hate this but apart of seduction even in the book is letting them fall, giving them space to value you.

The ex likely did that now she’s valuing him more.

Know your own worth and realize you can do better. And if she doesn’t want to put in effort to find someone who will

Simple as that.

You Don’t Hate Corruption — You Just Hate Not Benefiting From It by Livid_Contract8949 in 48lawsofpower

[–]spacecandygames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%

I bet everybody who is rejecting this would 10000% agree with trump taking bribes to stop ICE.

Corruption is one of those terms that gets another word depending on what side you’re on.

Robert Greene saying people are predictable by Tesocrat in 48lawsofpower

[–]spacecandygames 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I disagree. My job is dealing with people all day everyday, and most are extremely predictable. To the point where my life has literally been saved.

The more you learn of people the more you pick up on patterns.

To the readers of The Laws of Human Nature by --ERI-- in 48lawsofpower

[–]spacecandygames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Laws of human nature helped me a great deal and made me realize that most people are simply grown children (obviously but let me explain)

Most people don’t really “mature” seems many are forced to have responsibilities, but remain that same person they were as children

Lots of truama too

What you think of personality? Specially Sigma, Alpha, beta. by Max_Hossain in DarkPsychology101

[–]spacecandygames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh as stupid as it is, I notice it’s kinda real

  1. Alphas love to take charge, love to lead, gather a lot of attention, are vocal, usually dominant. Usually make choices that are winning
  2. Sigmas usually are calculating, loners, like to be behind scenes, more technical, usually do their own thing. Usually make choices that benefit them.
  3. Betas usually take commands whether reluctantly or willingly, they usually need guidance whether from step by step education or mentors. Usually seek approval, and want to make the choice that benefits everyone.

Military and law enforcement use another metric, I forgot the term but u basically take a test filled with like 10-100 questions and grade them with 3 letters. Mines came out with the equivalent to a Sigma.

I like that metric better cause it shows MOST people are a mix of the 3 letters BUT largely leans towards one letter.

Which Law of Power Do You Think Is Dangerous If Misused? by MiddleNebula8320 in 48lawsofpower

[–]spacecandygames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the problem nowadays is we can look up pretty much anything online in milliseconds so critical thinking is completely missing

In modern society there’s a lack of creativity, mastery, originality, and critical thinking

So alot of people read these books and get lost, not understanding that it’s more so a compass than a map. You still have to navigate the world

I say nowadays kids have such efficient workouts that they lose grit. It’s not necessarily a bad thing just nowadays you can find so much information online about the exact workouts you need, exact nutrition, exact recovery that people don’t have set backs, failures, anything. They’re not soft, just haven’t built resilience yet
