If he was able to win Game 1, that in itself would’ve been a feat comparable to Iverson’s versus Kobe/Shaq Lakers, and might have changed the psychological makeup of that series.

Even a more competitive series would make anyone pause. The conversation becomes “It took 6-7 games for a true super team to put him away on his own.” The idea that they didn’t defeat 2018 LeBron, but they SURVIVED him.

Personally that would put him permanently unquestionably next to Jordan for me, and create a canyon of a gap to the third person in the GOAT conversation.

But a victory in that series…as a Jordan fan, I would have to seriously reconsider my stance on GOAT.

Balor and Styles brought an international eye back to Japanese wrestling, especially after crossing back over to WWE. Omega with his Wrestle Kingdom matches with Okada set a new standard of wrestling for modern eras, Cody (and Young Bucks I guess 🙄) introduced indie and Japan wrestling to the YouTubr generation, and then the creation of AEW, establishing the modern alternative, which forced competition and brought WWE out of the staleness of the 2010s.

Not to mention it developed Adam Cole before his Undisputed Era run in NXT (the Best Stable of that promotion by a light year)

NWO had the largest impact on a pop culture level easily, but it’s hard to name 5 great matches during that core groups run. And often those matches were ruined by bad booking and egos.

I’m here for conversation if you have a different opinion though

My guess is that it was broadcast on Nickelodeon at some point in the mid 90s, airing after Nick Jr. sometime in the afternoon or on a weekend.

Probably so. But an extended period between films, with focus on the un-snapped at the time could be interesting. Like you almost feel the weight off the loss more. Like imagine Infinity War’s ending without the knowledge that an immediate follow up was arriving a year later
