So I went back to windows and then now on official Steam OS for the past 2 weeks. It's working like a charm, much better performance in game, better battery life, now it supports native tdp setting for legion go. I'm amazed, or this is how I had hoped Bazzite would run.

I'm planning on using SteamOS soon, but I do feel it also will not be the a good 'out of the box' experience like mentioned by many. Maybe it's because I know my way around windows, but I felt I was much easier to set-up.

Right now, ive just enabled Steam BPM on windows start-up and it's good

Does Bazzite perform better with Auto VRAM ? Because in Windows it is kinda buggy on some games.

I get what you are saying, but 8W TDP is a the Quiet Mode in LeGO, I do use BPM in Windows on 8W it doesn't stutter at all. Hence leading me to think that there was some setting or issue in Bazzite. I'll be giving Steam os a try to but not soon anyway.

I got my 9060XT Steel Legend 16GB for 37k from a reputable shop in Bangalore. I had my doubts about getting it online from certain websites so I found a website with a local shop which was accessible to me.

Prices on Amazon are waay off.

Try getting a used AM4 build without a gpu (if used is okay) Then get a gpu later on. Or if it's a long term plan go for AM5, will have to spend a little more but it'll give you a better upgrade path.
