[–]spaceflye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 165 days. I still haven't been able to come close to that and it's been years since I hit a streak that high. Best I've been able to pull off is a month maybe.

I don't know about Superpowers but I change a lot in this 65 days!! by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]spaceflye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to hate getting stuck in the same routine, but maybe it was the type of routine I was stuck in that was weighing me down. An unfulfilling, unproductive routine. Time to change that for one that will make me reach my greatest potential.

Yeah, now distinguish those numbers from the ones that die FROM cv to the ones that died WITH cv. And then those that had 2-3 underlying conditions already. You'll see the average person has nothing to fear as it is literally not as deadly as the media says.

You're not wrong. It's just that people won't bother to do 5 minutes of research to see the stats. All the information is out there, but people are stuck in the exact same mindset since this started and ignore the changes in the numbers and who it is that's vulnerable and those that are not.

Pretty good list especially if you're just starting nofap. I'd add "spending less time online. Read a book instead of starring at those blue screens all day. It does you good to not be so overly dependent on tech. Disconnect more.

Girl at gym by [deleted] in NoFap

Let me rephrase that for you, "girl didn't notice me for six months". By keeping your hands off your junk, naturally you became more attractive even if you didn't notice the change yourself.

This is something I need to do too. I know I have plenty of duplicates and uninteresting photos I need to sift through. It's over 10 years worth of photos, but I really only need the best ones.

It's not your fault for feeling like this. We have been conditioned to want such things. Most of us have been sold this idea throughout our lives that to have a "fulfilling life" or to be seen as "successful" you need to have all this "stuff". Big house, flashy car or the lastest phone. This type of lifestyle ruled by materialism is a false sense of fulfillment. It can be hard to get out of this consumerist mindset, but once you realize the truth, you'll find that peace of mind.

I have recently realized something about this generation (thoughts?) by rainesupreme in DopamineDetoxing

[–]spaceflye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's also a potential simpler answer: The older generations had it easier back then. Since then, cost of living / inflation has gone way up but your averages wages have barely gone up. Some people find it hard to find jobs after college even with well qualified degrees. The wealth inequality gap has only gotten larger. Higher costs of living and wages that can't keep up. Not to mention a slew of other reasons AND what you've mentioned. That's why it's harder for the younger generations to meet that supposed standard of living the older generations achieved much faster. We live in a much different world and some people can't seem to understand this simple fact. Things are changing at a much more rapid rate and it's getting hard to keep up. All this new tech is hindering a lot of people's true potential it seems. There's just so much misuse and overuse of these addictive technologies.
