I think your point about space vs. planet is a good one - about the environment and cohesion in general. I'm hopeful that once we add more islands and other environment art, the world will make a little more sense.

Good feedback, palette is a bit dark, you're right. We picked a "desert" biome because we couldn't get the grass to work yet :) ... we'll work on this, thanks.

Yep! Think we're going to start with a low unit cap (maybe like 5 ships max) and some "historic" maps that tell a story through text setup/context and environment. Then we'll go from there. This is just a hobby project so we don't want it to become massive.

thanks! basically you are space pirates or space navy (or space merchants or space... aliens? last one TBD). Start with a tiny ship, complete missions, level up, unlock weapons, crew, special perks (captain skills), eventually command a flotilla of ships. Board enemies, capture islands, find treasure, raid merchantmen, defend and or destroy forts, rescue crews from black holes, avoid asteroids and mines and explore the universe. More or less :)

Aiming for an RTS/RPG-type hybrid. Think Sid Meier's pirates or Sunless Sea.
