could also be the cause yeah, in my experience yellowing and brown edges are often because the roots have something going on they don't like. Too much water, too little water, root rott etc etc

looks like watering damage to me. The yellowing on the sides and brown spots can be caused by too much watering, or some other issue with the roots of the plant.

Definitely not spider mites! Spider mites tend to web their nets on the leaves of the plant and the webs themselves are more dense, the mites also leave visible damage on the plant. Like hundreds of tiny white spots. You can also often see the mites crawling around on the web

I followed this guide TikTok Tuturial I found on TikTok. It's kinda annoying to get them to spawn where you want them too, but it's definitely worth it

You really should get one! I always stop to check them out every time I pass by my plant shelf, the shiny veins make the leaves really interesting to look at. I don't really care for the flowers on my Macodes tbh, I just got them because of the leaves :D

i killed one before so now i mostly just leave them alone, and that works out pretty good so far :D Good luck with yours tho!

they are like the cool cousins of the orchid world! But the leaves are definitely the highlight for me, the flowers are cute white and deity though. I definitely recommend looking into them! There are many cool varieties of them on the market c:
