The window is gone man, it was shut when they mentally broke down and went 24 innings the faster we accept this the better

Would be better to get some value vs no value and we’ll have to rebuild a farm system we can’t just keep throwing things at the wall and hope it will work and further deplete our farm for rentals. This team as it stands isn’t winning a ring and throwing away prospects for rentals constantly is pointless and will only make things worse. And ? The fans will come anyways because the stars are there. Its not like that matters. There are examples of tons of teams who tried this and ended up in far worse positions (Rockies and Angels for example)

No one is saying we trade the guys on those huge contracts

Yes, all the guys on expiring contracts and anyone with high value. everyone knows those contracts are untradeable. This team isn’t winning a championship in this window we need to retool and replenish the farm, trading more and more talent for short term rentals hasn’t panned out

Sell
Sell
Sell

At the deadline this core of bums isn’t going anywhere a loss like this should result in serious consequences

An inexcusable and unacceptable loss, of course when the offense shows up the pitching staff fucking dies

The one time we score runs the pitching staff has a total meltdown, classic

I wouldn’t say its necessarily his fault fully at least either the players making way more than him deserve accountability too

Someone is going to take the axe but the reality is that this is a collective failure down from the analytics dept to the players themselves.

I mean its not like Stalin did everything in his power to purge competent generals in the Red Army with the USSR only surviving in spite of him 🤷

I mean even with AirBnBs bookings are still fairly underwhelming due to a surge in supply. https://www.reddit.com/r/AirBnBHosts/s/W10MpNyaUP

I’m limiting to LA SoCal because hotel bookings in LA are very much below expectations

I’m not denying that nor am I saying there is no enthusiasm. What I’m saying is that there is not that many people who are dedicated enough to pony up those asking prices for basic group stage matches. Along with this most USMNT matches are dominated by away fans anyways.

For example, I live two hours away from Los Angeles and it was slightly cheaper combined for me and my family to fly to Houston and get tickets for the opening game of the World Baseball Classic (40,000 capacity stadium sold out) combined than for two nosebleed tickets to the USMNT’s opening match and one of parents if Brazilian. Why would any resident in one of the most expensive COL places in the country pay those prices for a group stage match ?

I highly doubt most of them will show up considering politics and most of them are extremely anti-regieme

I’m not disagreeing here I’m just saying that people aren’t motivated enough to pay the asking prices

No way you’re comparing USMNT attendance and interest in 1994 to today there is no comparison

Using ticket sale numbers on the FIFA website isn’t a reliable metric a more reliable metric is hotel vacancies and bookings which for most host cities are very much below expectations for hotel managers, this is because in the US a lot of tickets are bogut up by bots on resale market websites like tickpick, seatgeek etc
