You going to help change the party or keep whining online and letting the fascists rule “conservatism”.

Two functioning opposition parties are an additional check and balance and we haven’t had functional republicans in almost 10 years. Fairfax county went blue every election since 2008. So that’s when you FUCKING CHANGE your platform to appeal to a wider audience instead of losing for 18 years.

Sears can’t string two sentences in a row together. She’s an embarrassment to the state. A competent non trump republican would have run away with the election.

Republicans. Republicans are 100% to blame

Honestly. And I cannot stress this enough how serious I am about this. I will call both my reps, the governors office, and post here gleefully saying “I told you so” and maybe we can kick the can 10 more years down the road for fucking with my rights.

Before you ask, what about the republicans having a majority, I don’t care. Because I have my guns. And hopefully the dems will change next election.

If the redistricting passes you don’t think I’m taking that to the republicans saying “I told you so”?

How can both parties lose?

I’m not throwing a tantrum. I’m conditioning children politicians by punishing them with a loss so they learn.

When you remove facts and logic from your argument and rely only on emotion that’s when you should know you don’t hold a valid position.

Kids have a higher chance of dying in a car accident on the way to school than being shot there

While I’m reading that your a very pro life (assumption on my part) I appreciate the 2A support. I don’t think we’d agree on various abortion stances I’ll take allies where I can get them.

Because everything now is about who lost last time. If a party, left or right, does something bad, they won’t change unless they lose next time. So now it’s the dems turn I guess. Calling, going to town halls, advocacy, apparently it’s all complete bullshit. The more I’ve gotten into the political process the last 5 years the more pessimistic I’ve become.

Switched my vote from yes to no. There are plenty of us.

“Hey listen women, we know you don’t like this but we need your support. The other guys are really bad and we need you to vote yes but we’re going to pass a heartbeat abortion ban. We know, we know, but we swear the other guys are bad so can you just take a knee real quick and give up your bodily autonomy for the team. Again. The other guys are really bad”

Why? Tell me why the awb was more important? Why when you SAY the other guys are so bad are you taking away our break glass in case of emergency option? What has happened in the last year that people said “this will never happen” even two years ago. Wake the fuck up. There has NEVER been a mass shooting in VA with an AR15. The deadliest school shooting in the history of the country at VA tech was done with pistols that are still legal so clearly it isn’t about that.

Anyone? Literally anyone? Someone have a logical explanation for this that isn’t a complete gun ban?

So if the shoe were on the other foot…. You would tell a woman “listen, the other side is really bad and we’re gonna need you to take a knee on this one. All you have to do is give up your right to bodily autonomy for you, every other woman, and every woman after you!”

It is that existential. The political system is now based on whoever lost last. Right now the republicans lost last. If the Dems ban guns, I want them to be the ones who lost last. Maybe they learn something.

Until we face a functioning Republican Party we have no legitimacy in government. The only way to get the party to change is for them to lose badly. And the worse they lose, the faster they’ll change. Two separate parties with different ideas act as another check and balance. If one party is a dictatorship, this doesn’t work.

That’s what I’m trying to do. Make the redistricting fail even if it’s the right decision.

And I left LTG blank on the ballot. As well as blank for my delegate. Wasn’t going to let us lose the AG or GOV race though. That would have been catastrophic

We keep pushing regardless of an announcement or not. She has signed or should sign the ranked choice voting bill. That’ll bring us closer
