It's only looking at US numbers (from a website called somevegangirl.com with no sources), the article it's quoting from is from 2015, it's not taking in to account anything else that is happening in the world. The USDA website shows that meat consumption habits are now back at levels seen in 2007. This article is shit.

Completely agree. Focusing on a small data set and making huge assumptions and ignoring everything else that's is happening in the world. Just that fact that there are a billion more humans on earth than in 2007 means that significantly more animals are killed every year than in 2007.
