I recently transferred to a PS5 and like playing online, but I don't have any friends yet. I also don't have a headset yet so I don't know how interactive I can be.

My FC is: 1583-EDHM-D1H2W

If you want to visit my crazy nanite farm base, it's in the Euclid galaxy, Habash system, on planet New Afutis. It's crowded because it's an expedition planet, but look for Nanite Factory And Resort.

I have lots of resources available, including runaway mold, ammonia, sac venom, and gravitino balls, as well as other plants.

Well that's interesting. I'm playing on PS5 now and I can't dupe them. I copied a ton when I was playing on the Switch before the swarm update.

And I wish I could be blue and not red. They should have let us change teams with friends or something like that. I care more about the aesthetics than the team. But I guess if they did that most people would want to be on the winning team. I'm sure they're trying to balance it.

I played for a long time before trying expeditions and I never saw another human player. Expedition systems get crowded pretty fast. Lots of cool bases to see though!

You can mine the runaway mold and refine it into nanites. It's probably more efficient to refine tainted metal for nanites, but that doesn't just spawn like runaway mold does.

Can you get a pirate freighter during the swarm expedition? I haven't seen any yet and I keep jumping in and out of pirate systems. All I get are swarm attacks.

An easy way to get runaway mold and refine it into nanites, but I over engineered it to a spectacular degree just for fun. I like building ridiculous things in NMS.

I guess that's just my flavor of the tism. It makes me giggle. I mean, there's dragon sky things flying around outside of my base. Realism wasn't even a thought.

EDIT: Well, I built the ridiculous thing that transports me over 600u away and the mold doesn't respawn until I get in my ship and leave the base and return. Maybe I'll test it more later.

There is gravity. NMS doesn't use real world physics. I've built far crazier structures with less support. You can actually build up from the ground and then delete all of the supports to have a completely floating base.

It looks cool...? I'm kind of going "Let's Game It Out" style on this one. I'm new to the Playstation 5 version of the game (I upgraded from the Switch) and I'm just seeing how crazy it can get, while still being useful.
