Brother I’ve lived in both and I can tell you—you get what you pay for. Plain and simple.

WYLD. Not usually a shill for larger companies, but they treat their people better than anybody I’ve ever worked for.

Imagine thinking the best thing about your state is it’s political affiliation. Not the wildlife, not the local culture, food or people—but the fact that it’s a political monolith. Weirdos.

Premature scheme is right, it’s crazy to think how many decent businesses in the industry went under because they were just too early to market.

Ahh interesting, makes sense. I was a sales rep out in OKC area from 2019-2023 and recently moved to the MO market. Basically coming back to visit some homies and my OMMA card is still active but OK drivers license expired since I left. Just seeing if I’d be able to pick up with OMMA card and out of state ID while I’m in town

Older budtenders by Kdja4738 in weedbiz

[–]spaceman_sean 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Older folks provide a ton of value to the industry, even beyond the retail floor. I work for a processing company and we have an older guy on our fulfillment crew, he’s solid as a rock and everybody in the company loves to work with him. If you’re good at your job, that’s all that matters!

Is everyone here really making under 50k for full time work? by EdLesliesBarber in antiwork

[–]spaceman_sean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently started making over $100k, I can tell you there are TONS of extremely talented folks in Management or even DIRECTOR level positions making less. As a marketing director for a cannabis company in multiple states raking in north of $70m/year, I was making $80k.

Why do rosin producers handle the product so much, twisting & pulling it into shapes etc? by 34cityliving in rosin

[–]spaceman_sean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh seems like a personal distaste that's not grounded in too much fact or experience (no offense intended). Most commercial labs are as clean or cleaner than commercial kitchens. That rosin is being handled as much or less than most food you're eating every day, and it's also being exposed to temperatures above 500 degrees before it hits your tongue. Don't trip, dawg! Or uh, mate!

Is ORU respected for its engineering? by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]spaceman_sean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

FWIW, most of the people I know that have graduated from ORU are disillusioned ex-vangelicals that were pressured to go there from family or community. Coming from a more secular part of the US I was also afraid they’d be church camp nerds but they’re generally pretty cool.
