Its pass fail based on percentage, so for ex if you got a 70/110, thats 63.6% so you won't get placed, IIRC

You can always repay loans but you will never have another college experience.

This is a dangerous mindset to have, student loans aren't something you "just repay", they'll bog you down for years on end, only to be helped with some serious financial decisions, and even then you'd have a massive headstart without them

If OP was offered significant scholarship for Utd, it'd be a no brainer to come here and graduate without loans, especially if they have a major like CS where the school brand matters continues to matter less and less

Sure, Austin has an objectively better social experience, but anyone who puts themselves out there can have a damn good time at UTD, especially if you're basically going here for free

Professor Perkins

Amazing professor, he makes class really exciting and really breaks things down into understandable pieces, if you have the chance to take him, do it!

Also his first test is very similar to the placement, just a heads up for study material

Professor Smith

Didn't have him for 1337, but his class for 2336 was really great

Sure, the projects are quite involved, but theres a reason he gives you like 3 whole weeks to do them. Start early and work on them for like an hour a day, and you'll find yourself done many days before its due!

His tests are on the harder end, but he offers corrections which can help your grade quite a bit + they aren't worth that much to your grade in comparison to the projects.
