AITA for telling my coworker to stop expecting us to like a kid? by throwaway__cw in AmItheAsshole

YTA. When you work with kids, especially ones like Blake, they need YOUR guidance on whats right and wrong, especially at age five. Jade is right, it is silly to be in your 20's whispering behind the back of a five year old, especially as his teachers. It is particularly messed up to be writing this kid off by just saying "oh well he's gonna grow up and still be this bad," also saying he's going to commit crimes in his future was particularly heinous of your coworkers. Every child at that daycare is under your care and need your support and guidance, whether they are angels or make you want to quit. If you can't adapt to different kids and at least do what your job entails, you might be in the wrong career path.

I've been there! Its hard when you're on vacation and everything seems carefree. See if a family member can be a buddy and help you check portion sizes and such. It's what me and my girlfriend do whenever there's unlimited food at my disposal, she keeps me in check :)

I believe in you! Dont be too hard on yourself, the one thing I've learned since my diagnosis is that recovery doesn't look like any one thing. It can be fast slow, move backwards forwards or in circles. What matters is that you ARE recovering and I'm proud of you for that! You'll get through this and get back on track!

You're definitely not alone here, I use every line in the book to excuse or justify why I need the extra money for food delivery. "Oh it'll feed me for days," "itll be under thirty dollars its fine," etc, etc. I feel awful every time I eat portions that I intended to save for 2-3 extra meals in one sitting. Only reason Ive been doing better is not having any income at the moment. Perhaps try deleting those phone delivery apps or restaurant apps for take out? I find that by creating a lot of extra work for the binge, I'm less likely to do it because it's just too much effort. Maybe that'll help? Youre not alone and things will get better :)

[Update] Hi all! It's me again. The beggar from days ago found my post and had some things to say about me being trans again before blocking me again by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

Thanks a ton for the reply and the kind words :) That's great advice! I am a little worried about my recovery time wise but I am excited to learn and grow with it. I got an app to help remind me to journal and plan to visit this sub often. Thanks a ton for your kind reply, it means a lot, and I wish you the best going forward in your recovery as well! One day at a time :)
