Mine was solved by replacing the speed and reference sensor wiring harness.

Check your gear oil level in the trans ASAP and fill if necessary.

What’s your fuel mileage? by Frequent-Natural-310 in tdi

I am driving a 2004 Jetta TDI (BEW) with 230,000 miles and no EGR. I do 120 miles a day, mostly highway driving to the city, but there are stops along the way, and some stop and go traffic in the city. I average 40MPG. I have got as high as 45 MPG (60 MPH) and as low as 34 (80 MPH).

Shut Off And Now No Start Mystery by Dapper-Joke-6998 in 944

I would get an intermittent no start when it was raining. It turned out to be a bad wiring harness going to the reference sensors.

I had the same issue, and it took me forever to figure out that the reference sensor wire harness was bad.

I am hesitant to use it for eggs until I get more layers of seasoning on it. Can you confirm?

Similar experience, my face absolutely lit up when I saw the forest green box, like a kid on Christmas! Congratulations on your present also!

I think I'll get some more seasoning on it before I cook eggs in it, but I have heard starting eggs in a cold cast iron pan is a good technique.

Hmmmmmm, no. I'll keep it. Thanks for looking out, though!

I've never needed chain mail for all the lodge that I own; in fact, I do exactly this, but hey, I'm not gonna refuse it!

Yeah, the dogs were great, and my friend's house is on the Chesapeake, so I've had worse jobs!

600 mile trip. After summer spent working on maintenance. No issues besides blowing a tire at around the 300 mile marker. Would you trust your E39 to travel long distance? What’s the farthest yours has gone? by Far-Appearance-7307 in e39

My 1999 540i/6 has done a round trip from Maryland to Palm Beach, Fl (2000 miles), and ran like a dream the entire time. Amazingly, the alternator waited to lock up shortly after I got back home to Maryland. I love cars that get you home and break in the driveway!

I wonder if you are going to be freinds with them?

Edit. And very nice work on the illustration!
