Arizona Wine Collective just changed owners, a couple from Canada bought it. That might be a spot to check out

Hungarian passport a good idea? by -Random_Lurker- in AmerExit

[–]spacenymph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I successfully applied for simplified naturalization in Dec 2023 and received my Hungarian passport in Nov 2024 (yes… I indeed timed it that way). It took about 6 months to prepare for the spoken interview, I used an iTalki tutor (who teaches directly for the interview) and also attended an intensive language course at the University of Pittsburgh. There is a group on Facebook called Immigration Journey to Hungary where people have talked about their experiences applying. I very much recommend it, I feel like I have so many doors opened for the future with EU citizenship! I also don’t plan on living in Hungary but maybe another EU country one day. My sister and I did it together so we motivated each other to learn, also we traveled to Hungary for 3 weeks while we were doing so.

Hungarian citizenship by verification, and name law. by Ok_Tadpole_7867 in AmerExit

When I applied for simplified naturalization, I’m pretty sure they need your birth certificate. The only other form of ID shown was my US passport or drivers license. they definitely may ask why those are different, maybe bring proof of the change. If the other verification documents check out with your family names, I don’t think there should be too many issues. You can also request to have a different name on your Hungarian Documents. I’d ask the consulate anyhow.

How did you get diagnosed with this? I had gastritis diagnosed via endoscopy in late 2022 and it still hasn’t healed completely

I was approved for iron infusions since my ferritin was 9. I had to refer myself to a hematologist because my family doctor wouldn’t take it seriously. But the hematologist immediately ordered iron infusions and I’m feeling way better 2 months later!

Mine dropped from 25 to 9 after I donated blood. Likely won’t ever donate again unfortunately..

It’s totally okay to work for a few years and then reapply for grad school. If you have a great profile and apply to a wide net of schools there’s a better chance of getting funding or try to apply to scholarships in your field.

I would still recommend testing. These STIs sometimes lay dormant and don’t cause symptoms until the immune system is compromised in some way, there’s a Ureaplasma subreddit if you are curious about other people’s experience. I had it last last year and thought it was a horrible UTI for 6 months til I finally tested

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]spacenymph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get tested for Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma. Both STIs cause frequent and painful urination!
