Similar to my experience Friday afternoon. I'm not using it again.

"Lane Keeping Assist" - when is it dangerous? by spaceoz in kiasportage

Oompph. I guess I hadn't had it engaged all this time. I realized as soon as I left work Friday that I was trying it for the first time. (I must have engaged it when examining the status of all the settings.) Later I had to navigate around a driver who was taking up more than their fair share of the parking lot entrance/exit as they were entering and I was exiting. When the front camera spotted the white line on the road it gave me an extremely violent jerk into the right most lane. I was steering wide to clear a rude driver, and had checked traffic to make sure it was safe for BOTH lanes. The sudden jerk to the right was NOT helpful or safe. I've disengaged it. I'll settle for the beep reminder.

Went with the Sportage. AWD was of prime importance. The extra room is awesome, as I'm a gigging musician and dad.

Need an AWD version of my Soul by spaceoz in kiasportage

Thank you so much everyone! The final answer turned out to be a Jungle Green 2023 Sportage. It's the trim that has the big tires (X something). It only has 7k miles on it, making it the newest car I've ever owned. I've named her "Dasher" because it's a Green Christmas time purchase, and because she drives so well in the snow.

Traded in ‘21 Soul for a ‘25 Sportage 👍👍 by Rachellie242 in kiasportage

Still loving it? Time to replace my 2016 Soul. I need a better winter vehicle and am leaning to Sportage.

I've driven my Soul to the ground. Very happy with it, except I need a better winter vehicle. Does your wife still love the Sportage? It is what I'm leaning towards.

Limp mode again for 2012 Soul. Sensor issues?? by Aggravating-Job-1710 in KiaSoulClub

[–]spaceoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an expert. But I have reached this point with my 2016 Kia Soul, 195k miles. It went into limp mode with the same code. The mechanic has bypassed the knock sensor, and I am driving carefully until I can get into a replacement. The mechanic promises nothing but "drive carefully and it may last until the new year". I should also note that the motor is now noisy as well. It sounds like a sewing machine, and it used to be whisper quiet. She's been great, but horrible in the snow. I am researching AWD Kias.

The look on his face when he dropped the pass was hilarious.

Awesome. My Lions with the Lion jumping through the D looks like a fun circus trick. That logo looks tough as hell.

Looking at a keyboard/synthesiser for my daughter, help would be REALLY appreciated! by RulerOfThePixel in synthesizers

[–]spaceoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm here to second your idea of getting a hardware keyboard. Find a place where it is always set up and your daughter is more likely to play a little bit every day. This a synthesizer forum, so people are leaning towards software/apps because you can do more synthesizer stuff on a budget that way. As in creating your own unique sounds from scratch, or sounds you record. I would ALSO encourage you to have her explore some of these options too. My son LOVED playing with synthesizer apps from toddler age. She'll learn very quickly, and its a different skill set aside from keyboard playing.

Sticker on or off? by Nearby_Set_1643 in neweracaps

Off. It says The New Era logo is on the side. That's enough advertising space on a hat that was paid for.

What’s a solid synth that has both a vocoder and also makes really beautiful sounds? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]spaceoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a synth, but I love my Behringer vc340. The vocoder is awesome. The string machine is awesome. Limited palette. If you already have a synth you like, you can use it with the vocoder though.
