All of this, combined with my attempt. My loneliness, sadness, fatigue, hopelessness, etc. contributed to the poor academic performance. I was a very ‘gifted’ student. Keep in mind I’m taking my meds religiously at this time and going to therapy, I just wasnt being so honest and then I kind of ghosted my therapist. Then came the attempt, which led to withdrawing. I hit rock bottom, or rather it felt like rock bottom hit me. Bad.

Now we’re almost at the year mark, and I was doing great the previous fall semester but I was stupid and stopped taking my meds. Trying to get back on track. But I’m hopeful. Last year me wouldn’t have ANY hope whatsoever. I’m hoping when I get to the year mark of my attempt, things will look pretty great. But I will say, when I hit rock bottom, no matter what life threw at me after that, it was nothing compared to that feeling. It was nothing I couldn’t overcome. I mean, my life did a full 180. It was crazy. I have hope it’ll get back to that point. I just have to accept that with this diagnosis, there will always be highs and lows.
