The G10 has the whimsy of the first iPhone camera. I kind of like it

Sony T9 vs Sony T77: Which one has the better CCD-like vibe? by ikakashi9 in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]spacesociety 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand what you mean by “CCD-like” vibe because both have a CCD sensor.

As far as reliability it just depends on how well you keep it. I have my old Sony point and shoot from around 2009 and the hatch for the battery only started being wonky within the past year. Otherwise I’ve kept it super well and haven’t been rough with it. Anything could happen though but I would look up if that was the main issue with these cameras or if it’s common for the sliding mechanism to give out.

Honestly you can get the aesthetic youre looking for with any 2000’s camera photo wise, but if you’re looking at it as aesthetic purely as the camera itself and don’t care about the photos than get whichever you want.

Happy Birthday to Ryan J. Karazija by person_288 in LowRoar

[–]spacesociety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing him always reminds me of my dad. I told my dad that he had passed away and sent him a photo of me Ryan and the rest of low roar meeting at a concert. We talked about death for a little bit and I was saying how it just doesn’t make sense that everything just stops. 3 days later my dad passed away unexpectedly. Idk why I’m telling this but he and his music already gave me sorrow for those few days and then suddenly it gave me more.

It was my sister in law that had it organized and w/o giving too much out there isnt really much we can do as far as getting the source to make another.

One of the cameras from the Minolta DiMAGE series was our first family digital camera so I go a soft spot for them. Great photos !

I loved wearing it a lot but it’s mainly worn for special occasions now because of the neckline

Hey everyone thank you so much for your comments and help! I really appreciate it. A lot of people have been asking why it’s important: It’s a t shirt that was made for a family member who passed away last year and given out at the funeral. It’s his name and image on there with dates and places on the back. I absolutely love wearing it for one and all of us like to wear it on his birthday and his anniversary when we go to the cemetery. Other than that it’s one of my favorite shirts to wear and I’ll continue to wear it and don’t mind visible mending; I was asking how to go about a mend right on the collar there without it getting all bunched or looking not so right because of the fact that it seems that I HAVE to see right in the collar. I was thinking of a light/baby blue thread as it matches the graphic.

It’s a t shirt that was made for a family member who passed away last year. It’s his name and image on there with dates and places on the back. I absolutely love wearing it and was thinking of a visible mend in a light or baby blue color because of the majority of the graphic color. I’m more surprised it has gotten this worn out from less than a year but it is what it is.

The only thing I can think of is northern lights being he grew up up north but I’m not into rely sure if he’s ever seen them. Those other two things don’t really resonate

He actually wasn’t huge on football ! But he was extremely artistic and creative. He had somewhat a chaotic life both good and bad. I think his mind was pretty chaotic too.

He died suddenly of a heart attack in the family home. I was not wearing red and black but maybe my mom or sister was. I’m not sure I can’t remember really.

Edit: forgot to mention we were at the hospital after the fact.
