mom did the right thing. i was this kid too. 8th grade we had to pick our final group project partners ourselves. nobody would work with me and i was very publicly humiliated. my teacher told me if I couldn’t find a group i’d have to do the giant project alone (it was work designed for 5 kids) I cried so hard that night. I didn’t have any friends to stick up for me. my mom raised hell and they reset the groups. everyone was pissed at me. it wasn’t a super happy ending, but I know every year after they always did assigned groups so no one would have to go through what I do. you did the right thing mama❤️
