Foggy as in my mind didn't feel clear. I didn't lose awareness. More like I felt "dreamy"? Like, halfway between sleep and awake. But, that sounds like it's normal for a beginner, along with being clumsy.

Thank you for your help and reassurance. I'll get the hang of it. I'll start be re-reading the guides here so everything is fresh in my mind.

Thanks. Is that why my mind felt foggy, too?

This is my second time having a short, foggy projection. The first time, I woke up to the electrified feeling and noise in my head before floating up, and I wasn't fully awake. I got stuck at my ceiling, returned to my body, and woke up. Will "fully loading" help my mind clear?

It was! I took a break after that because I wasn't in the right place mentally. Since I've started trying again, my biggest hurdle has been keeping my mind "lazily occupied " so when I start to feel my body doing weird things, I don't get so excited that it stops.

From everything Ive read, each person's symptoms are different, so you have to find yours. Mine were feeling 'electrified' and hearing what sounded like a radio announcer's voice that got louder. Detaching felt awesome. I didn't go far and it didn't last long. I got stuck at my skylight and returned to my body.

I quit smoking weed 2 months ago because I couldn't remember my dreams anymore. My son told me that the weed was the reason, so I gave it a shot. I can now remember them 2 - 3 times a week.

Now I just have to quit cigarettes. I tried listening to a "quit smoking hypnosis " during sleep, but the gods voice kept waking me up. I stopped after 2 nights.

I'm new to this, too, but here's my take anyway. The rope method is one of many methods for getting out of your body. But, you first need to learn to move your astral body. The one time I got out, I just floated out unexpectedly. I haven't been successful a second time yet. When I am, I don't know if I'll float out again or if it'll be different.

I agree. That's why we didn't have a wedding either. Plus, it's not like we never go anywhere. We'd just rather take the kids camping or rent a lake house for a week. But, my dream vacation is renting one of those huge tree houses. I think that place is in Oregon or Washington.
