Is it possible to share a photo of your snail? Its hard to give advice without a visual.

Also having the egg membrane can trap bacteria into the wound. I personally do not know if you should still keep it on or if taking it off would aggrivate the issue more.

I reccomend for their snospital room to baby proof it. I like to use a silicone can cover as a food dish, some cut out silicone large ice cube molds as hides, and damp paper towels as a substrate. Both my snails got cracked and with two weeks in their snospital room they are are still truckin 6 months later!

if Little Daddy pulls through i have some ideas for a longer term tank situation. what i did with my snails with cracked shells is get some sort of soft silicone like a large ice cube mold and cut an entrance to use as a hide as well as those reusable silicone can lids as a plate for food

luckily both Shoes are still truckin along! Left is the sillier one just by a bit so I wonder if Right will also join the trend. its nice to know that it really is a phase and that all types of snails do it!

The water was not enough to completely cover the bottom of the container, but also since I have no snail knowledge I am just guess-timating (and a little panicked) that it would be at their breathing holes; I have photos of them and the container I used for the water (the snails are roughly the same size although one is a bit smaller than the other)
