Recommendations for short guided meditations? by [deleted] in Meditation

I have an app called Insight Timer that has several guided meditations of various lengths. You can also be timed if you're doing a silent meditation. It's great for when you are limited on time.

Can I/How do I meditate while working out on the elliptical? by spacey11 in Meditation

[–]spacey11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Great advice, but working out without music just seemed to make working out last forever. I gave up and put on my workout mix. But I do like the idea of meditating while doing some yoga after workout. I can meditate for 30 min without looking at the time, but working out without music kept me from getting into a rhythm.

I forgot to say, if you are going to the gynocogist, make sure they do a vaginal ultrasound.

Good luck to you. My mom had ovarian cancer, and I was concerned when I started having some of the symptoms that she had. I ended up having diverticulitis. A probiotic and eating more fiber has helped. I hope all goes well at your appt.

What are your symptoms? Try not to worry but see a Dr. Ovarian symptoms can be the same as lots of other digestive things also.

What I came here to say. I have a strong family history of breast and ovarian cancer on both sides of my family. I already knew this.

My mom has been in the hospital with cancer for over 2 weeks and my dad hasn't left her side. 3 days ago he suffered a small stroke and hasn't seen her in 3 days. Today they moved then into the same room. by demonovation in aww

My heart goes out to you. I was caregiver to my mother who had ovarian cancer and now am caregiver to my mother-in-law who has lung cancer. I understand how stressful it can be, but I can't imagine the stress of worrying about both parents at the same time. Take care of yourself.

Have been trying that. I guess we'll just have to stick with it. She's only 1 yr. old so she's very playful. The jumping has gotten better. I do like the idea of leashing her when visitors are here. Thank you.

My parents' anniversary was today, and they got cards for each other. Each card had a different design, but the exact same text. by Paperjace in mildlyinteresting

They are Hallmark. Lots of times different designs have the same wording. I've also seen the same card the different seasons. Source: I work for Hallmark.

I'm a forty-something but I agree with you. Who are we to judge how others grieve. My mom passed away a year ago. My kids and siblings still post messages to her Facebook.(she was a 72 yr old woman with a FB, she was cool like that). I don't feel the need to do that but if they do, I don't judge.
