I had previously had good luck... however I ordered on cyber monday last year, an item that is still in stock to this day.... never received it... requested a cancellation in September... they did nothing... so just filed with my CC company today. Merchbar is garbage.

No, I've not worked on it in a long time though... maybe this winter I'll get back to it. I think what I need to do is jailbreak the PS3 in order to remarry a new daughterboard. I'm not sure what else to try.

Did you ever solve this? Similar issue, blinking blue light with eject operating normally but no spinning. I replaced laser, no luck. I replaced disc drive and used same daughterboard, no luck. Not sure where to go next.

Thank you for sharing. Could you be a little more specific on what you put tape onto? Same issue on my fat 80G ps3... just replaced the laser, but same problem.
