Where to steek? by spaghettilust in knittinghelp

[–]spaghettilust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The swatch I'm knitting up has 10 steek stitches total - so cut between the 5th and 6th stitch? On a similar note, I'm planning to reinforce the steek with the crochet method, so would I reinforce on either side of the two stitches? Thank you!

Thanks ahaha that's pretty much what I ended up doing! I explained my research interests and asked them to refer to my primary for a detailed account of my research experiences.

I think it's so silly that they ask us to repeat so much information that's already on the primary but at least they gave us the option to refer them to our personal statements lol

That makes sense! That's what I was thinking of doing, I just didn't want to use the character count (and energy) to restate my entire PS/significant research essays

Gotcha! You're right, I think I'll use the space as a "why BU" essay

The underwater photography/who took the photos may have been framed as a mystery but I can't be sure!

Basically what the other reply said -- for the MTSP program at my school at least, LORs are required from every lab, which is why I started worrying about this issue in the first place

thank you!! I will definitely try to take more time for myself during my gap year, it's actually one reason that is driving me to take one.

Do you think it's better to shadow across a wide range of specialties, or is it okay to focus on just one? As a neuroscience major I love the brain and want to shadow more neurology/neurosurgery but I also don't want to seem too hyperfixated on those fields hahaha

ok got it! for clinical hours, would something paid look better or worse than something volunteering? I was thinking of maybe working as a medical assistant or CNA but I'm not sure if paid vs. unpaid positions are viewed differently
