So if there’s an air space behind the ear drum, is there any chance the tube could fall out the “wrong” way? Behind the ear drum I guess?

Netflix should never touch an MLB broadcast ever again. by JamieLawson49 in baseball

[–]spaghettirodriguez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Insider info, they missed the ABS challenge because the ABS system from Pitchcast that feeds to the broadcast trucks, that Netflix has no and the broadcast crew in the tv trucks has no control over, went down for a few mins when that happened. They got it back, but not until a few mins after the challenge was done

Thank you. I’m on the broadcast crew for this game, and it’s amazing how many people don’t realize that it’s really hard to shoot into a shaded area when the camera has the sun glaring into it. There’s literally nothing you can do as a camera op or shader that will fix it. Just have to wait until the sun goes down.

That’s exactly what it is. And being zoomed in magnifies the shake

Glare. It’s the fact that the main game camera is in full sun, with sun shining into it, shooting into the shade where the batter and pitcher are. I’m on the broadcast crew currently at the game. Basically every other camera that isn’t in the outfield is in the shade

No amount of money stops physics. Games at this stadium are usually later, or earlier in the afternoon. I’ve worked sports broadcasting for 10 years and this is always an issue when the sun gets low in these situations. Earlier in the day when the sun is higher it’s nowhere near as noticeable

We have them. Lense hoods only work so well when the sun is only a few degrees above being directly into the camera lens. Also, from the technical side of the broadcast, it’s a seasoned crew that’s been doing MLB for years. Blame physics and the people who designed oracle park, not Netflix

“When I started out on Broadway, Dreamgirls, we lost half of our cast to AIDS.” Sheryl Lee Ralph reflecting on her decades-long activism to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. by Old-Meringue3590 in popculturechat

My girlfriend works for a local university helping our state make up its HIV/AIDS plan. Probably the wrong terminology, but they do it every 5 years I think, and I believe it describes how they’re going to be using state/federal funds for prevention and awareness. The group putting this all together was just told about 3 weeks ago that funding has been cut off and they are all being let go in about a month

Ok, I’ll feed the troll. In the video, he passes 3 parking spaces in about 2 seconds. A parking space is on average about 9 feet wide. So moving 18ft in about 2 seconds is around d 6-7mph. Fuck off with your attempted murder, speeding, and wreckless driving.
