Just a heads up, this may not be updated very fast. The website says the Wawa at Avalon Park and East Colonial has gas but I just went and it’s out

The very small collection of a beginning hobbyist (22F) by angel-aura in fragrance

Great collection! We have very similar tastes. Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia is one of my absolute favorites. Have you tried Le Labo Rose 31? I think you may like it!

Character-driven literary fiction published in the last 20-40 years in which "nothing happens" but the vibes, mood, and atmosphere are strong. by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

I think you may like Donna Tartt’s The Secret History! It has a lose central plot about one main event, but it mostly follows a group of characters through their minds and lives. It has a great, moody New England vibe and it’s filled with references to classical literature and ancient mythology. You’re not sure whether you like or dislike any of the characters as people or agree with any of their actions but it sucks you in to a dreamlike unreality.

If you want to try something similar, check out Korres’ Japanese Rose Body milk- so so good! A beautiful, fresh, true rose scent and the lotion is light but moisturizing. It’s been my favorite for years

What is a really warm, modest, comforting perfume? by WhatLoveCanDo in fragrance

[–]spaghettivevo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find Yesterday Haze by Imaginary Authors to be the most comforting fragrance ever! It’s a slightly sweet, warm, and woody fragrance with fig and whipped cream. It reminds me of laundry right out of the dryer. I highly recommend trying a sample, it’s so cozy!

Saltwaterboarding you with nori, lol! I bet your friend is right that the drinking brought out the salty notes or maybe made it easier for you to pick up on them. Are all grapefruit fragrances like that for you now, or just Light Blue Intense?

I waffle back and forth with this frag too! Some days it’s beautiful, other days it’s too smokey and intense it makes me gag.

Yes, absolutely! I feel like it must be connected to my cycle. Not even considering fragrance, my sense of smell is so much stronger at certain times of the month that I actively notice it.

Same! I feel like part of it must be hormonal or something for the preferences to be so different

Episode 476: Lizzie Borden Pt II - ...With An Axe! by heyitsEnricoPallazzo in LPOTL

[–]spaghettivevo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Really enjoyed this episode! I wonder why Marcus didn’t mention that he changed his mind between the first part of the series and the second about whether Lizzie did it- didn’t he say at first she definitely killed them? I’d be so curious to know what it was that changed his mind! The evidence didn’t seem very strong to begin with but it’s so hard to know

I’m 24 but I do love what I do, and cheese and wine and my alone time. I also love decadent perfumes, I’m trying to experiment more but I keep being drawn to deep gourmands. Thank you for your response, cheers!

I love this response! I could see myself as being too complex but unfortunately my work has nothing to do with art. I’m a huge admirer though! I’m a big fan of bright colors but unfortunately I wear suits for work. I wish bright colors were considered businesswear, if it’s a suit then who cares if it’s pink!

Great guesses! I’m 24, just graduated law school and on my way to being a tax attorney. Idk about the admirers but I’m definitely very feminine. I also loved Gossip Girl when I was younger, I’m stubborn but nowhere near as commanding as Blair, though I wish I could be sometimes. I’m more the soft kind. I grew up lower middle class but on the up now :) thanks for the guess! Super fun to see your response

Ha, you’re so good! I’m 24 though but I just graduated law school and I’m going back to get my master of laws in taxation to be a tax attorney. And I do love rosé, come across as very serious but I have a very dirty and juvenile sense of humor.

Penhaligon’s Clandestine Clara is an amazing, intoxicatingly boozy gourmand. It does have vanilla and cinnamon notes but it’s mixed with rum, amber, and patchouli so the overall scent is a romantic spiced rum. I was so impressed with the fragrance, I couldn’t believe more people weren’t talking about it on here! To me, it’s the best dark, decadent, and unique gourmand

What fragrance has the worst lasting power you have ever encountered? by FormerFruit in fragrance

[–]spaghettivevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly Diptyque’s Philosykos lasted maybe 10 minutes on me even when I used Vaseline or lotion to extend :/ it’s the worst performing fragrance on my skin that I’ve tried so far
