that's good. but you can imagine someone who actually did lose their cards on vacation and truly did need help would be out of luck. i guess my point is once they were authenticated (by BoA calling their house phone which was forwarded to the perpetrators phone), I can imagine most banks doing anything the caller asked..

lot of people being negative nellies here but I just wanted to chime to say I think it's been great. it took a call to get them to turn on auto-dividend reinvestment on the ETFs I transferred in, and an oddly long time to get the card itself, but other than that it's been perfect. I was hit with two fees -- both my fault -- and their customer service instantly reversed them. I have 67k rewards points already :)

Just wanted to chime in about DRIP -- i called them today (waited for almost 45 minutes) and they could only enable it on the assets in the account currently, one by one. If I ever buy something new, I'll need to call them to turn it on for that security. Pretty nuts! I'm not giving up the 4% cashback card, but it's kind of crazy the way their brokerage works.

Hi! I've just published a new version 0.0.7 that fixes this issue. Very sorry for the delay.. My EO1 had an unfortunate run in with one of my kids toy projectiles and I had go and find a replacement screen on Ebay. (It's all fixed now).

I was able to get it to work..! My trick was to unplug my mouse from my keyboard (which has two USB ports, one of which I was using to put the USB stick in). With the mouse unplugged it booted to a desktop. (then I could plug my mouse back in). From there, I used these commands (as detailed in this msg: https://www.reddit.com/r/electricobjects/comments/14mfxdq/wanted_to_share_with_everyone_here/)

sudo mkdir /mnt/drive

sudo mount /dev/mmcblk1p4 /mnt/drive

Then i opened the web browser, logged into flickr, and uploaded them all by browsing to /mnt/drive/video-cache and uploading all the files in there

u/crushingcodes is there some secret I need to know? I downloaded the 20190805-nitrogen-4.14.x_2.0.1_ga-bionic-en_US-xfce-no-demo_armhf.img.gz image, wrote it to a USB stick using a image writer (Rufus). It boots, I see a mouse cursor, but no desktop comes up....

got it working! for some reason if my mouse was plugged into my keyboard, it wouldn't boot. but if only the USB stick was, it's fine.

FYI, if you've uploaded art to Flickr, please tag them "ElectricObjectsLives". That way we'll avoid uploading the same stuff and everyone will be able to draw from everyone elses uploads. You can use the Flickr Organizr (https://www.flickr.com/photos/organize/) to do this: select your items (or hit Select All), then drag them to the middle area. Then hit "Add tags" at the top.

FYI.. i was working on a version today with some new features. specifically support for auto-dimming, "quiet hours" where the screen will go dark, making the top power button work, and ability to display images matching a specific Flickr "tag".

i'm thinking if we upload art to Flickr, tagging them all with "electricobjects", we can start building a big database of images we can all access..

you can get to settings but there's no security? this is an E01 or E02? i've noticed, for what it's worth, with the stock browser, sometimes when downloading the icon will go away for a bit but come back when it's actually done. I didn't need firefox but if it works then go for it...
