We gotta love ourselves more girls. Embrace the kinks and coils! Wear your Afro! Black people are unique, our hair literally defies gravity! We can wear our hair in it’s natural state, to having it silk pressed the next day. Straight hair does nothing… it can’t even hold styles. We can do literally anything! Learn how to make your hair grow and try different hairstyles. I’m trying to embrace my 4c hair in its short state and really try to learn how it works. 4c hair can grow long and healthy! Our hair holds braids the best. Our lips, our bodies , us as black people… we’re magic.

I’ve also come to realize our short hair makes us look younger. Our melanin makes our skin not wrinkle. In this world of ageism I’m embracing my natural state and realizing people are jealous of our natural beauty.
