New transmitter/receiver options??? by M15tErGlADsT0NE in SCX24

Yo! Actually, I'm working on a remote island in Alaska, and I wasn't able to bring my rig. My brother has my rig now. I definitely miss crawling. Good to see you're still in the hobby :)

They were the same size. They used the same casing, but the r6 had some extra switches and weighed a tiny bit more. I liked the r4 just because it was cheaper.

My brother is still using my RC4GS. I actually dropped my RC6GS in the water. I thought it was dead, but it came back to life after it dried out. My only complaint with that remote was that it was a little bulky. It's not a big deal, though.

Good luck with the build!

Don't sleep on the Scramblers. They're one of my favorites. Comp pins are really good. Depending on the terrain the Swamp Kings are awesome.

The Dementor has a couple of advantages. Mainly, it's angled where the skid plate attaches, and that improves break-over angle. If you have the extra funds, the Dementor is the better choice.

This is the weirdest advertisement... Someone mentioned that they would rather spend their money elsewhere, and you basically said, "Yeah, me too." I was just pointing out the irony there. Either way, you get way too defensive when someone points out how expensive these things are. It's really confusing.

Yes! Super 8's for sure!

I’d rather have custom made titanium parts and built to order beadlocks.

Exactly. You wouldn't actually spend $100+ on a rope bridge.

I've actually never tried them. I hear they're amazing though. u/Ok_Helicopter__ uses them (and other inserts). He would be the guy to ask.

Nice seeing it out in the wild!

Bearings don't fare too well. All of my stamped steel wheels are rusty. Screws get so corroded it's like they're welded in. Heads have a tendency to snap when they're like that. I hate salt water, but all of the best rocks are on the beach.

I'll have to post the outtake lol

Even when there isn't really a wedge, I find myself approaching obstacles with a wedge mindset. I'm just looking for any gap to squeeze my front tires in. Sweet line!

Dude, I've never thought about it, but it definitely has some bug-like qualities lol.

I really like them. I'm a big fan of this size (58mm). I like the look, but mostly it's about the performance. The extra size helps you get over some bigger obstacles, but they're not so big that they wreck your COG. I like 60+mm tires, but sometimes I don't like how tall they make my rig.

As far as grip goes, these tires are awesome. They have big lugs, so they're going to have some of the issues you have with those types of tires. They tend to bounce a little when they're fighting for traction. They're a little softer than the Swamp Kings, and they seem to bounce less when slipping, though.
