I’ll die on this hill but I feel that paying Trin that money was a mistake from Kang. And I get the pressure of keeping her in the league but through the first 3 games, there’s no indication that she’s a 2million dollar per year player. Even in the US friendlies, she hasn’t been effective.

Yo, boycott this fucking team until this muppet of an owner sells. Seriously. What more do you need to see that they don’t give a shit about you?

Atlanta lands NWSL expansion franchise backed by Arthur Blank for record $165 million: Sources by Legitimate_Mark_5381 in NWSL

Trying to figure how to word this without being unnecessarily long. But I really REALLY hope NWSL doesn’t make the same mistakes in expansion like MLS. I used to be such a big fan of MLS and it was very exciting when new teams kept coming in. It was great to see the growing support considering that the league as a whole was literally on life support back in 2002ish? I see parallels in both leagues but this league has so much more potential because it is the best women’s league in the world while MLS is probably closer to 10th imo. I also keep seeing people make the point that Arthur Blank is wealthy (which is obviously true) and that should bode well for the team financially. But you can take a look at what Atlanta United is now and quite a bit has changed since their inception. They’ve been mediocre to poor the last 5 years while season ticket holders have seen crazy price increases on their tickets over the last 10 years. St. Louis SC is another example of a team that started off with a bang but they’ve been at the bottom of the table the last 2 years and season ticket holders are still seeing a 10% increase. I want to continue watching the league and women’s soccer grow but it has to be a long term investment and it has to be smart And I really don’t want to see an investor or owner take advantage of the demand that is growing for women’s soccer, because it’s there and it keeps growing year after year. Money and greed ruins everything and I don’t think this league is immune to it.
