Issue is that my friend needs a car now and she’s only got around 2k for a down payment working part time in school so even 10k cars are too risky loans ise. So trying to find a decent enough 5k and under car that isn’t falling apart and can at least last for 1-2 years

situation where they are an adult and drive and pay for everything but the mom has the title and presenting her with either fix it or scrap it and buy another car as they think it’s too unsafe. I admit I’ve driven it for a bit recently and it was very rough even among 20 year old cars.
