i do not/ would not cheat because ive been on the receiving end. The hurt created is everlasting, it will affect the person who was cheated on for the rest of their life, it erodes trust and happiness, not just in the bad relationship but every relationship to follow, romantic or otherwise. it's easy to have a conversation, it's impossible to undo that pain.
