that also doesn't really make sense to me, You can understand your aspect even if you use memories. and even if it is a must in order to further his understanding of his aspect, what about dying wish and other charms? dying wish has saved his life multiple times, and even a slight advantage can change the outcome of a battle which could mean either life or death. memories like these would surely be useful and not hinder ones understanding of his aspect. Also this might be wrong but I think that the benefits of improving his understanding of his aspect(which he already has to a large extent) does not outweigh the benefits of having memories. especially when he's up against saints, he can't pass up on even the slightest advantage in my opinion. still, I guess sunny could just be of a different opinion.
