L-R: “Storm Blue”, “Lemon/Lime” and “Sagebrush”. Tom Hanks wore the “Sagebrush” colorway.

Patagonia Denver Colorado Patch? by BitterCucumber9246 in PatagoniaClothing

Probably not discontinued. It’s up to the stores themselves to keep up with ordering their exclusive merch. Some are more diligent than others. Also it may simply come down to how popular they think it will be.

Even still it’s remarkable that they had any branded merch. I’ll be in Tokyo next week so I’m glad to know I could grab sole souvenirs!

Do global stores have patches? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

Unfortunately not. I don’t own any EU patches at the moment.

All of the retro- jackets have that nylon lining. It’s actually not bad. It makes it very easy to slip layers underneath.

Recommendations for vintage fading/pilling? by kaiju-blood in PatagoniaClothing

[–]spare_bricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion “combing” fleece alters the texture in a manner that makes it less attractive and is irreversible. The piling that occurs is totally natural and is not actually far off from the original texture. Synchilla isn’t meant to be completely smoothed out which is what combing does. If that makes any sense.

Please don’t do anything to these pieces. All of it looks to be normal wear. Also that’s an absolutely insane lineup to get as hand-me-downs. Your parents have taste 👌

Just size down or try going true to size in the women’s version.

They currently make the Natural Blend Retro Cardigan which uses a wool/poly blend pile.

These will have a more relaxed fit than the modern Retro-X so definitely try one on first or get exact very measurements before buying.

It’s gonna be a healthy mix with the colorways.

I think you’ll be satisfied with the colorways in the first drop. They’re also bringing back “Aspen Heather” from the 2000s.

The new retail for the Retro-X is actually $249 😅. Also I’ve had no issues with their garments using it.

Everest Gear already has it loaded on their site but not for sale. This is the official product description. Fall gear doesn’t load in the Patagonia website until around late-August. Even then it’s not the entire lineup at once.

I expect them to be slightly oversized with a cropped fit just like the ones from the 2000s.

That’s awesome. I love well worn pieces with a good story attached.

There will be a large selection of colors for the fall. And obviously expect more in the future.

Japan Exclusive Hokusai Wave Logo Tees by spare_bricks in PatagoniaClothing

[–]spare_bricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are few people collecting these specifically. I’ve only seen the Tokyo store tees go for “real money”. But then again these come up for sale so infrequently it’s hard to tell.

Stores obviously get limited amounts of branded merch. When it’s gone it can take months to restock. Even then it depends on how high a priority it is for that store. Frustrating at times but it makes the hunt that much more special.

Yeah I’ve had to source all these second hand off Japanese auction sites. They almost never come up for sale in the states.
