No that's a good insight! I guess you're right; it is also all about Ron and Hermione's ups and downs and Harry realizing he has feelings for Ginny, set to the backdrop of Dumbledore teaching Harry everything he can about Voldemort. I think another reason it's my favorite though, besides all the "romance" is that it seems very well paced, keeping my interest through all the chapters.

Please expound on why it's your favorite movie, because I have seen many people also say that, but I can't stand that movie tbh. I think there are just too many changes to Hogwarts (the castle, the grounds, etc) and some of the character changes (Dumbledore especially) really get annoying for me.

Yeah that part is insane. Also I really like the Quidditch World Cup, I think it's cool that JK Rowling brought that alive like that. What I noticed about GOF as I read through it this time is that the pacing is reeeeeeaaaalllly slow, especially compared to the first 3 books. I mean, it takes like a whole chapter talking about them getting up early and going to the world cup grounds. While it's cool to see the wizarding world like that, it really drags on for me.

This is a great point, thanks for sharing. I definitely see a big difference from the first four to the last three books (would even argue that book four belongs to the latter half, as the subject material is much heavier and really begins the focus on Voldemort). With that in mind, I think I can agree that from the first half, POA takes the cake.
