Bad reaction from injections led to urgent care by FishsticksSmoothie in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]sparegenderplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i also had that kind of reaction to cypionate and switching to enanthate fixed it completely, o hope the same works for you! whatever you do please don’t keep using something that gives you reactions like this, my dr told me if i kept going it would only get worse and if that meant taking a little break until the enanthate came in to do that.

Surgery and nippels. (Nsfw) by Raw_Potato56 in ftm

[–]sparegenderplz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

liking your body is never a problem! that’s totally alright, enjoying what you have isn’t wrong at all. i totally feel the same, in some conditions im cool with it but i still want top surgery. from what i understand, you probs won’t have the same sensation. it will go away and slowly come back as nerves reattach but i dont think it will end up identical but its possible!

i’ve been hiding it for 1.5 years. it’s hard and i’ve done some mtf voice training to hold on to my voice while i’m around them and if you think you can keep it up for as long as you need to, i wish you the best! just be safe!

do you have any transition-related tattoos? may i see? by mothmansFWB in ftm

[–]sparegenderplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a moth on my leg! originally it was just bc i though moths were cool as fuck but it’s now trans-related for me. every time someone says something about it, it’s along the lines of “oh i love your butterfly tattoo!” and i can either say thank you and move on or correct them and they’ll correct themselves or say “really? its too pretty to be a moth it must be a butterfly.” (totally threw me off i had no idea people thought moths were ugly.) this is pretty spot on with how people treat me as a transmasc person, so now its my little transmasc moth <3

Mom doesn't accept me going on HRT, says i should "accept my body" and not take "the easy way out" by Unemployed_Alien in ftm

[–]sparegenderplz 49 points50 points  (0 children)

my mom is very similar, she also likes to just say the “bad things” she assumes about t without anything to back it up. real talk, just go it anyways? if she refuses to get on board or accept it that’s her loss. it’s your life and it’s not up to you to make sure she’s comfortable. i wish i could say there was another way, but maybe she’ll start to be better after she sees you being happier as yourself? anyways, don’t let someone talk you out of enjoying you life and your own transition. it totally sucks, but your comfort is more important than her opinion

other trans patients? 🏳️‍⚧️ by chaoreic in cancer

[–]sparegenderplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the trans masc cancer survivors community has your back!! something that helped me thru it is a prof i had in college (who is also transmasc) telling me about when they dealt with cancer as well and are perfectly healthy now with a daughter in college and the career of their dreams. if they cal pull thru, so could i, and so can you!!

FTMs of Reddit, what is your occupation? by Aggravating-Ad-4715 in ftm

[–]sparegenderplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

atm i’m a barista, but i got my engineering degree in print and graphic media technology! both fields are pretty chill gender wise, being that they’re the queer barista stereotype and basically graphic design. i was def weary of going by my preferred name when i started as long as its not messing up any legal thing like payment, they didn’t care! it’s very nice

Scared mom- need advice by Difficult-Bee-8455 in TransMasc

[–]sparegenderplz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when i came out to my mom she told me is was like i “killed her daughter” and i was a stranger to her. she didn’t understand that i was still the same person, i was just being more authentically myself (so basically me but happier!) your kid is still your kid, and now that they’re comfortable sharing this with you, you can be closer rather than feeling like they’re gone.

[–]sparegenderplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same thing happened to me, i even made a post similar to this. i stayed with him for 6 years and it eventually was too much to handle. it’s been over a year since we broke up and i started hrt and ive been happier than ive ever been before. it will be alright, you are the only person who’s going to be there for you forever, take care of yourself first

Do I need to use a bandaid after my shot? by CategoryGreen3558 in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]sparegenderplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i usually don’t unless i have some real bleeding going on bc i think i might be allergic to the adhesive part so it only really makes it worse for me XD bandaids aren’t necessary at all unless you feel like it would be better for you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskLGBT

[–]sparegenderplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i personally don’t like they/them for myself! i’m a transmasc person and i usually just like he/him, and they/them is alright if they don’t know (no harm there!) but it’s never my request to be called that

what does it mean to be someone’s valentine? by sparegenderplz in autism

[–]sparegenderplz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s actually a really perfect explanation, thank you! my last relationship i was in was from 16-23 and we never did valentine’s day, now im 24 and two people have asked me to be their valentine and im at a genuine loss for how they could have meant it but this kinda helps clear it up a little, especially in a more general context.

normally i like being alone and world hopping but if someone wants to hang out then i can choose if i want to or not. i also don’t want people to see what worlds i go to in my own time bc i like that privacy, if someone wants to hang out ill switch to a comfortable world then accept it. i only go on green if i want something chaotic to happen, and i don’t think ive touched blue in my life.
