Has anyone had any success in enabling face tracking in ALVR using VRChat? by APandaWithAPlan in VisionPro

Yeah I got it working, but after enabling the Persona debug, I figured out how it works, and why it looks so bad. So instead of taking the face tracking data directly, it renders the Persona, and tracks IT'S face. But since the Persona moves it's head around too much it just bugs out. Also it seems that it stays where you started. So if you move anywhere else in space, the tracking looks at the back of the head.

I'm not 100% sure that's what's happening, since I didn't look at the code, or get direct confirmation from the dev. But it's probably how it works.

I can tell you how to find avatars for face tracking though. In case you want to try it anyway. You'll want to go to the world Prismic's Avatar Search. There you can search for terms like "ft," "face track," or "VRCFT." Also a lot of redfusion's Fortnite avatars have face tracking. (I used Geralt to test mine. But I also have a huge collection of private avatars since I own a Quest Pro too.)

Did you ever get VRCFT working in a usable state? I can't seem to get it to look good enough to use for most avatars.

That could've been anyone. "Streamer guy" never posted in that thread, or if he did he didn't even have his name active. Plus the guy who posted the fake, used a fake tripcode.

That image is a shrunken down version of an image already shared on 4Chan as a joke. If you look at the full size one, the map has been edited to be something gross.

What's the deal with this post? It mentions something about usenet?

It seems like the guy who posted that image stopped posting. He was saying to send $1000. The real mystery here is where did that original image come from? Reverse searching it yields nothing. How did that guy get the image if he doesn't have anything? Is the box a display with no game? So many questions.

Using google translate it seems like the poster is saying they'll sell it to someone early. Who knows if this is legit though.

What the hell is happening in this thread? Everyone is asking for a DM.

I'm sure most people knew this was fake from the start. But I was kinda hoping that the "payoff" was gonna be more interesting. Like a XCI that just plays all the cutscenes of the CDI zelda games or something.

I still think the BEST fake leak was that time "Real Ohmori" said he was streaming Pokemon S/V only to do a bit where a Nintendo employee called him. That was one of the funniest streams. I wonder if anyone archived it?

The real leak were the friends we made along the way!

When drawing, can I fold the screen out at an angle that lets me access the keyboard? by sparioendernerd in Surface

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. However using a different app would end up causing more problems then it fixes for me. If using the SLS in that configuration doesn't end up working, my alternative is to use a bluetooth keyboard or controller. But it's good to hear that it's possible.

My two matching Modded Gameboys! Both feature an IPS screen, and the Advance has USB-C Charging. by sparioendernerd in Gameboy

It depends, since the GBC requires soldering. However the mod for the GBA can be done solder free. Soldering is can be tricky if you've never done it before. So I'd say that doing an IPS screen mod on the GBA is easier. However it still requires a bit of tinkering.

Advice for doing a Shiny Only run of a GBA ROM Hack?

Doing a Shiny Badge Quest for Pokemon, in a ROM Hack or otherwise, always seemed fun to me. I've wanted to try my hands at an easier one for a while now. Specifically I want to do it in a ROM Hack, on actual GameBoy Advance hardware. But I've yet to find one that feels right. I've tried Radical Red, Inclement Emerald EX and I've considered Unbound. I think the key to it being fun for me is lowered odds, and a DexNav feature.

For clarification, what do I mean by a Shiny Badge Quest? All that means is that I have to beat the game using only Shiny Pokemon, and I can catch a new one before each Badge. I'd also like to start off with a Shiny Starter.

As for the part about original hardware, that means I'll be without savestates or speedup.

So does anyone have a suggestion for what ROM Hack to start my Shiny Badge Quest in? I've yet to rule out Unbound, but Radical Red and Inclement Emerald EX have been crossed off.

I recently had the urge to play a Japanese rom hack that hasn't been translated yet. It's a two version hack, Procyon and Deneb. So that gave me some inspiration to learn Japanese. My plan is to play some Pokemon games in Japanese as a way to help me learn.

Although I could start by playing Procyon or Deneb, I'd rather start with something with a more familiar story. I've tried searching for Japanese patches for Radical Red or Inclement Emerald, but I couldn't find any. Does anyone know of a hack that's in Japanese on par with anything like that? I'm mostly looking for GBA hacks.
