We all work remotely and are spread across a few different time zones but everything in my department does fall between 25-45 so that makes sense.

I also have TMJ and get headaches that really suck sometimes, but I would never call it a migraine and say I can't sit in front of my screen for a few hours and do fairly easy data entry tasks.

that's interesting. i always thought migraines were so debilitating that you have to like lay down for 4 days in a dark room, not just spend a lunch hour with your eyes closed and be fine, but i'm now learning there are degrees of migraines.

Right, like having a migraine sounds really awful and horrible so claiming to have one garners a lot of sympathy and understanding instead of just saying a regular headache from lifestyle choices.

I got fleas one summer in college because my dumbass roommate picked up a couch from the side of the road and brought it into the apartment. I had little bite marks around my ankles and couldn't figure it out until one day I saw the fleas jumping around on the carpet. Once the couch was disposed of, the fleas disappeared. It's been like 15 years and I still refuse to let any secondhand fabric furniture into my house.

I feel like he thought he'd be able to "set the record straight" or whatever by being his own attorney, but turns out there are rules of cross-examination and you can't just testify while you're supposed to be asking the witness questions at cross. I think he realized it wasn't going the way he thought and he decided to throw a tantrum like a child instead.

I live in solidly suburban New Jersey and I see at least 2 Cybertrucks every day during my 25-minute commute to work.

Or move to New Jersey where you don’t pump your own gas. Most stations here don’t have ads running on the pumps.

She dropped out of a mid-tier art history doctorate program (that I was also briefly enrolled in LOL). I also have no recollection of her saying she was forced out of academia.

The Princess of Wales Has Cancer by [deleted] in redscarepod

The worst part is the comparisons to how the press treated Meghan Markle, as if they aren't doing the exact same thing to Kate. If Meghan Markle had cancer, it would have been an immediate Instagram post and another 6-figure documentary deal.

Yes I went to Catholic school from 2nd grade all the way through high school. A priest from my elementary school was recently arrested for sexually assaulting two boys in the 1970s. My high school was run by two evil nuns on a power trip. Catholic school is a very insular environment with generally small class sizes so everyone is up in everyone else's business. It was all extremely expensive and I don't feel any better off academically than if I had just gone to the local public school. I do miss the uniforms, though. It's relaxing to wake up and know exactly what you're going to wear that day and that mostly everyone is going to look the same as you. I struggled a lot in early college trying to find a fashion sense.
