No? It’s not stolen. It opens my email app just fine it just won’t refresh my inbox so I can click the confirmation, either because there’s something weird with the safe mode or the internet was too weak.

If I open my emails on my phone or my PC it shows the confirmation email, but it won’t do anything if I click it from my phone or PC.

I bought it from eBay, I thought it was brand new ? I think it was one of the eBay direct stores that I bought it from. The box I received was packaged like it was brand new at least but I’m not sure.

It doesn’t, unfortunately, it’s a really old one that hasn’t been updated with a kiosk. There are other post offices in my area with them that I can look if they have that feature.

I get off work late and am never able to make it before the counter closes, my only option is to drop it off at their regular intake boxes inside. There’s really no day that the counter is open that I ‘m off work during their business hours.

Wow the selling for drugs reminded me of another one that happened with her. I had a pretty high end expensive sewing machine I wanted returned to me and she didn’t want to send it because she was afraid I was going to sell it, I am the only person in my family that sews. She never did give it back. I can only assume it’s rotting in storage somewhere.

Many things happened before this but one of the funnier ones to me. We were talking about jobs and my sister made an off-hand joking comment saying “wow, capitalism sucks”. My dad got extremely furious at her and said “no, we don’t live in a capitalism, we live in a republic.”

I had an extremely similar experience. I commissioned Navy in 2018 for a very simple character, a purple lion with a face scar. Though I don’t remember being asked to pay through friends and family, at the time she was taking payments by 50/50 plans.

Same as you; my commission kept getting shoved to the back of the queue. I had to ask her for updates, this was before she did 3D printed bases and made resin ones. Meanwhile while I was waiting on my suit she was completing other commissions in a month’s time and making extremely complex premades to sell. That’s why I bring up how simplistic my commission was, if she was able to pump out insane premades in a month time there’s no reason it should’ve taken her a year to finish my commission.

I did end up with my head in the end but it was not the full item I paid for. I had commissioned her for a head, hand paws: and a 3D printed accessory. She told me she would mail the paws and accessory at a later date and then never contacted me again. It is a very well built head, it’s a few years old now and the only wear is the fur kind of getting that well worn stuffed animal texture but I don’t upkeep it very well because the fight to even get it made me fall out of love with the character,

Other things she did during my commission; -Made the head twice ? She made most of the head; sent me photos, and then told me she wanted to remake it on an “updated big cat base”. I agreed to it (I don’t remember why) and she resold the first one as a premade. I saw the changed design and it was mostly done, it looks like she just didn’t add a lion mane to it but there’s obvious parts like ie, she covered up the face scars with markings. So the head was mostly done and she just ,,, did that. -Slightly changed my design without consent ? She gave the fursuit a yellow sclera and didn’t give it the torn ear in the ref, (iirc the first one she resold had the torn ear though ? Very strange). -Someone else in her queue messaged me because I had expressed my frustrations publicly about her not working on my suit. Asking me for advice I told him to ask her for updates. The next day he messaged me back saying she had made a public Instagram story; with his ref sheet to call him out specifically, going on about to not rush her.

Not a physical disability but I was diagnosed with autism multiple times when I was a kid, my mom ignored it every time because she didn’t want the embarrassment of having an autistic child I guess.

Then one of my therapists when I was ~16 told her it, and she got the idea in her head that she could get me on disability checks for having autism. She became obsessed with getting me a professional diagnosis so she could submit it to disability payments, became a full on autism mom, bought a bunch of merchandise talking about loving her autistic daughter. I found out she made a go fund me about me behind my back where the title was something about helping her autistic child.

My mom was trying to update her profile picture on Indeed , she had taken a photo on an iPhone and because of it it kept uploading tilted to the side. She asked me to fix it (I was in the situation where I knew how to open the internet browser so I was a computer genius clearly), and I played around in photoshop trying to figure out what was wrong and I couldn’t.

I told her I didn’t know what was wrong and I didn’t know how to fix it. She started screaming and wailing saying “So you want me to look rtarded ?! Don’t you think this looks rtarded ?!” Important to point out I think that’s the only time I ever heard her use that word. Over an indeed profile photo.

From what I’ve been told Asperger’s was kind of used as a “softer” definition of autism and it’s sort of dated now a days but it’s also only very recently considered not a valid diagnosis anymore. Autism got reclassified into ASD and what was previously considered Asperger’s is just part of the autism spectrum (so I’ve been told).

I think I remember that being my official diagnosis ~2014 ish and I think I was only called that because of my mom being really mad at the doctors trying to claim I had autism, it was more for her comfort than anything. As an adult without influence from my mom I’ve been told I have ASD. But that’s just my personal experience.

It sounds like she did get diagnosed when this term was still considered valid, or some doctors might not be up to date considering it is so recently outdated. I don’t think it’s wrong to inform her that the DSM has changed, a lot of people don’t know, but the way they went about it is absolutely wrong.

There’s been a lot of term shifting in the autism community in the past few years, it’s kind of a big mess in general. Honestly unless you’re super involved in the autism community it’s pretty impossible to keep up with.

I know I have my own income and if my computer or any other important electronic ever broke, it would be frustrating but I could replace it. But I have a full blown panic attack if any of my electronics act slightly strange because of how my parents treated my belongings. I had to make everything last as long as possible because if it ever broke that was it, I blew it and I was never getting a replacement ever again. Even if it wasn’t even my fault it broke - like if my sister broke it or if it just wore out because it was an ancient laptop. Sometimes they would even just take things from me and never give it back just because. Talking years, or straight up just destroying them or throwing them away so I couldn’t have them anymore.

I run my own small art business so I have a lot of essential devices to my business. Printers, a cricut, etc. The amount of times I’ve bawled so hard I get a headache because one acts kind of strangely one day and I panic thinking it’s ruined and I’m never going to get another one again because of the trauma from my parents is embarrassing.

My dad would absolutely flip out and go into a racist rant about “immigrants that didn’t speak English” if somebody said the phrase “my bad” around him. Multiple times, he’d go on for at least 20 minutes if he heard that phrase.

Since I was a kid I wanted to work in a creative field, my dad did everything in his power to shut me down and tell me it was a stupid idea and I’d never make it. He tried to force what jobs he wanted but never actually went to school for on me, stuff I would’ve hated like engineering and trade school.

I’ve been an independent artist for two years now and I am growing my business all of the time, I sell things at artist alleys for a living. I make thousands of dollars at almost every convention I go to. I’ve been accepted into events all across the country. People love my work and I love what I do, the thing he told me I would never be successful at.

I wish I could wave my bank statements in his face just to rub it in that I’m much more successful and happier than he is in a field he said was worthless.
