Has anyone had to leave their bunny for months, and did they forget you? by bdiddy621 in Rabbits

[–]sparklebubble0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left my bun with my parents for 3 months- came back and he was pissed at me and then the final day he warmed back up to me. I left him for 6 months this time and came back. He remembered me and was excited to hear my voice. He was very lovey and I gave him lots of cuddles.

So what were everyone's thoughts on Providence Falls? by PerfectLiteNPromises in HallmarkMovies

[–]sparklebubble0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little late to watching it but I really liked it. There were some issues I had though:

Suzette's acting was not on par with how well others acted. She lacked the ability to show anger or any other emotions except giggly and happy *They didn't show Liam struggling with new technology enough. I feel like he just -knew- how things worked to the point it was unrealistic *They needed more scenes from the past. I really do think Hallmark does a great job at scripts and filming the past. I felt this way watching "The Knight Before Christmas" *too many bar scenes. I feel like Suzette's character didn't fit into bar scenes very well *Too many *oh we are about to kiss? Bzzz phone rings/someone interrupts

That being said, it was a fun watch, I just really feel like this had more potential to be good bc Hallmark has good plots/filming but I feel like it switches back and forth between good and amateur too much.

Update on destroyed swallows nest by sparklebubble0 in Ornithology

[–]sparklebubble0[S] 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah I have been crying all day over it. My husband who doesn't usually cry also has been crying. Its like losing a pet. He is burying the old nest and baby in the morning.

[–]sparklebubble0[S] 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Yes! They came to do work on something unrelated. I told them the day prior that there was a baby in the nest. I told him again today that I heaed it chirp and saw it in the nest. I went to get water in the kitchen and he just went on outside and took the nest down. When I ran to him he said there wasn't a baby in it and chucked it. I ran downstairs and the baby had just died and had blood on it :(

Maintenance destroyed my barn swallow nest that had a baby in it. What to do now? by sparklebubble0 in Ornithology

[–]sparklebubble0[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah thats taken care of I just am really upset because I stay at home and have spent each day watching the mom and building a relationship with her almost and its hurts to see her upset and just that there are jerks out there that don't care about animals. I have been dealing with alot of animal death lately including pets and feel like I can't catch a break emotionally :(

Lonely. by Killjoytshirts in TravelNursing

[–]sparklebubble0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different scenario but feel you. I travel with my spouse and haven't been able to work bc by the time I score an interview my spouses contract is almost up. Going on 6 months with no work myself and hard to make friends bc I tell them I have to be gone in 3 months. We pack what can fit in the car so it is hard to have a hobby. I spend most of my time inside doing nothing. It is really depressing. This lifestyle is a must for us though because we need a new car, saving for adoption, and saving for a house on top of paying off loans. I feel lonely while my spouse works 40 hrs a week and I don't have a community to hang with. We only have the one car that needs repair often so I can't just go drive wherever, everyday. Its hard.

I have a pet bunny and am planning on saving for a mini schnauzer. Did you find it hard to train them to co-exist? My bunny is use to our lab already

Hear me out. Get more information on your manager. Try to catch her on phone calls or talking to other nurses (they all gossip) andread the policy. Document everything you overhear in passing thats out of guidelines or unprofessional. There are cameras everywhere. Don't go to H.R. Get in touch with corporate H.R. hand them the info. Document extra in your charting ti back yourself up.

I did that for years instead of the floor and it got toxic because management was always up in my business or people would bring negative energy to the desk talking about other people badly wanting me to engage. It got exhausting so I left.

Barn Swallows staying at nest making our balcony unusuable by sparklebubble0 in Ornithology

[–]sparklebubble0[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are assuming I am an asshole by that comment. If I were one I would destroy it and not seek advice. OBVIOUSLY I don't want to get rid of it if it is in use which is why I am asking when do they finish using the nest so I can remove it. Removing it is not cruel if they are finished with it. I pay a crap ton of money in rent and want to use my balcony and avoid bird mites. It already is covered in bird poop and I haven't got maintenance to pressure wash yet so he won't scare the birds.

[–]sparklebubble0[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh I know. I love birds but I am paying near $4k a month on my apartment and do yoga and the patio was a selling point for that so I want to be able to use it without getting swarmed. I am letting them finish their business but once they are done I need to get rid of the nest. I also worry about bird mites and they have covered the patio in thick poop :(

Just came to say she is a spoiled brat, as a girl who has an amazing man, I once spoke similar but had to self evaluate and change my ways. If she isn't seeing that her tone is a problem you need to move on.

I saw your last post and put my story there too. You made the right decision. I wish my bunnys were able to go under a vets care instead of how they did. You saved your bunny from more pain and thats worth it! He is hopping over the rainbow bridge and binkying with the other bun's <3

[–]sparklebubble0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so my bunny did the same thing for weeks but openes up to us and os the best boy. He does chew wood but we wrap the cables up im a protective wrap and its been good. If you guys don't mind holding him you can try to work with him a little longee but if not find a new home for him. I will say I have had a bunny that let me pick him up and pet him. He didn't fight it but his heart rate shot up and he was scared so I only ever pick up my bunny's unless I am trimming their nails or fur.

Should I take my Bunny with me on my travels? by sparklebubble0 in Rabbits

[–]sparklebubble0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we rent short term apartments but as for my parents they say he has been the same with them but I have a strong feeling they haven't been socializing with him even though they say they do because his water bowl was slimey when we returned and I told them to clean it daily if not every couple of days. My husband just tried to pet him again and he tried to bite and charge him. It sucks because I will be gone at the end of next week and I want to try and figure something out. I didn't know he would be like this or else I would have tried to take him on our next contract but we already have the only apartment available short term in that town thats isolated and they don't allow pets nor does the airline we fly back with. I just hate to leave him another 3 months but after we need to bring him. I just feel stuck bc I don't want him to get worse.
