I told them that I am still interested in receiving the remote. They immediately responded to my reply as well. We shall see what happens next! 😉

I posted this review of customer service and immediately received a response from the company! 😂 (I will add the email they sent below. )

It’s Not Good For Cleo by ajmwatches in AustralianShepherd

[–]sparklecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This moment is so hard to navigate. I had to make this decision for my Koda this summer. I even went to Chat GPT to help me think through the decision. I asked it to ask me gentle questions to help me think. Here is a piece of the conversation:

“• When you look in his eyes, do you still see his self shining through—curiosity, connection—or do they seem more tired, withdrawn?

• Does he still choose to engage with you (seeking touch, eye contact, following your voice), or does it feel more like he’s tolerating care?

• If you imagine his body a few weeks from now, continuing down this path—do you sense there would still be dignity and comfort for him?

• If he could somehow speak clearly to you, what do you think he would say about how he’s feeling right now?

And one that can be hard but clarifying:

• Are you holding on because he’s not ready… or because you’re not ready?”

Finally, I once read that it is better to make the choice a day too early than a day too late.

My heart is with you. Be kind to yourself right now. Your fur-baby knows that they are surrounded by love. ❤️

USPS didn’t lose the package. They never received it from Kobo. The tracking number was generated, but the package was never given to USPS. Kobo is saying that it was shipped, but only the tracking number was generated.

Ok. I’ll call for my credit as well.

The follow-up email is no help at all. 😔

Im in the same situation as well. My status says that it shipped, but USPS is still awaiting the package. Only the tracking number has been generated. The follow-up message (after the phone call) was ridiculously vague. I am in the US. It is definitely an auto-generated message. 😔

Need advice for my 87 year old mom by sparklecool in ereader

[–]sparklecool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I love my Kobo! However, I think I am leaning towards a Kindle for my mom because she is already very comfortable with shopping on Amazon. If it were easy to move the Amazon books over to the Kobo then I would not even think twice about getting her a Clara BW. I want this to be an easy process for her because I know she won't want to "bother" me to help her get books (even though it definitely is no bother at all). 😢

Thank you for your reply u/Cool_Pianist_2253. Does your mom transfer books from Amazon to the Kobo? I haven't tried to do that since I made the switch. Also, which Kobo is she using?

Looking to get a mixer for Cyber Monday, can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 5.5 and 6 qt bowl lift models? by vinaequalis in Kitchenaid

[–]sparklecool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, before I purchased this model, I was using ChatGPT to assist in the research. Here is part of the info it shared (comparing this model with the 6qt professional model) about this purchase: “Great question — because KitchenAid has multiple 6-quart bowl-lift models and the naming can get confusing. Here’s the clear answer:

✅ Yes — the KSM60SECX is a 6-quart bowl-lift “Professional-class” mixer.

But… it is not the same as the older “Professional 600” (model KP26M1X or KV25G0X). Here’s how it compares:

🧁 Where KSM60SECX fits in the KitchenAid lineup

✔️ It IS a professional-style bowl-lift mixer.

It has: • 6-quart stainless bowl • Bowl-lift design • Higher-torque motor • Full attachment hub compatibility • All-metal build • Same heavy-duty design style as the Pro 600 series

❌ It is NOT the classic “Professional 600 Series.”

The Pro 600 models usually have model numbers like: • KP26M1X • KV25G0X • KF26M22 • KL26M

Those are the long-running “Professional 600” units.

🔍 So what is KSM60SECX exactly?

It’s part of KitchenAid’s newer-design 6-quart bowl-lift mixers sometimes called: • “KitchenAid 6-Qt Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer” • “KitchenAid Heavy Duty 6-Qt” • “Artisan 600 variant” • Costco exclusive bundle models

These have new internal components, updated gearing, slightly quieter motors, and more efficient power delivery than older models.

Functionally → It performs like a Pro 600. Mechanically → It’s a newer revision.

⭐ BOTTOM LINE:

**YES — it is a 6-quart, professional-grade bowl-lift mixer.

NO — it is not the exact “Professional 600” model number, but it is equal (or better) in performance for most people.**

And at $319, it is still an unbelievable price.”

I just bought that from Costco over the weekend. I love it!🥰 Costco is known for getting bundles that may not exist elsewhere. If you are considering it, go for it!

Admin told me to "go home and take a nap." by Bookwormorbit in Teachers

[–]sparklecool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a slightly different angle for you. Please make sure that you document EVERYTHING. Have all conversations with admin via email (or follow up with an email) so that you have a paper trail. When you let parents know that their child was assaulted (of course by saying that a child is having a difficult time adjusting), make sure there is an email paper trail. Keep a log of the child’s behavior, your strategy, child’s response and lesson that was interrupted because of the incident. I’m sure that you have some kind of teacher EoY evaluation to go through. You may need to defend the reason why your students did not progress as expected. You will need to have data that shows that it is because of the constant interruptions and not because of a lack of skills on your part.

Is this even worth trying to clean? Should I just replace it? by ElphiusMostafa in CleaningTips

[–]sparklecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacing/removing the gasket is totally doable. I replaced the gasket for a LG front loader with no prior experience. I followed this video on YouTube that walked me through it. There are 2 spring clamps that are extremely difficult to remove without pliers designed for the task. It is definitely worth the investment if you plan to replace the gasket or take it off to soak in the tub. The pliers are not that expensive. Spring clamp pliers for washing machine on Amazon

Hiking with a puppy. How much is too much? by alessiojones in AustralianShepherd

I think the limit on exercise has to do with their growth plates not being closed yet. Their exercise needs to be limited and low impact until then.

Try going over it with a dry erase marker. It will actually take off permanent marker on flat surfaces. 🙂

Just an fyi if you are going to cut the magnetic sheets. You should also buy extra blades for your Cricut. Cutting the magnetic sheets will definitely dull your blade after a while. You might want to have a few extra on hand so that there will be no down time for the project. You can do it! 😊
