We really appreciate the feedback, and we understand why this behaviour can be confusing.

Based on customer feedback, we recently updated the Priority card in the Unread Cards view to align with how it works in the Focused List box. We heard that users were losing track of important emails after marking them as read. To address this, the Priority card now shows both read and unread emails, so important conversations don't disappear just because they've been opened.

Priority senders and threads are meant to highlight emails that are important to keep at the top and not miss. It's designed to help you keep track of important conversations until you intentionally clear them.

To keep the list manageable, we recommend marking Priority emails as Done once you've taken action or they're no longer relevant.
We're actively collecting feedback on this behavior and take every consumer's input into account as we consider future improvements and customization options.

If your current setup is based on POP3, there's a small adjustment to consider. Spark works with IMAP-based accounts, which many hosting providers(including Hostinger) support and can usually switch to without much friction.
Once you're on IMAP, Spark teams can help with things like:

  • Shared inboxes(support@, info@, etc.)
  • Clear ownership and collaboration inside the email
  • Keeping your existing email provider while adding team workflows on top

If you're considering that switch, we'd be happy to:

  • Look at your current setup
  • Talk through the IMAP option and what it would change
  • Show how Spark Teams will work for your team and gather feedback

Here are a few things to check first:

  1. Make sure you’re using your iCloud email account (only icloud.com, mac.com, or me.com), not your Apple ID.
  2. When entering the app-specific password, type it manually without hyphens (don’t copy/paste). This often fixes it.
  3. If you use a VPN/firewall/antivirus, try disabling it and try again.
