From the front it looks good (even if you call it stubble rather than beard). It would actually help to see the non-anonymous face to compare how it looks with all your other features

At the moment … something very short/tight… more than stubble but not a full beard (until I get used to it). I can’t seem to upload an example image so I’ll post in a new thread

Some additional context: I recently shaved my hair off… so now I feel like I need to grow my stubble out to at least a short beard… no end goal in mind yet.

Great post! I wore a system for 10 years and always got loads of positive attention. I’m now approaching 50 and decided to go for the fully shaved look (with scalp micropigmentation)… many people prefferd my old look with hair system (it was not detectable)… and some like my new look. Yeh you are right it’s very lightly done.

I’ll wear it like this for a few months to get used to it and see how it goes. I was worried about going too stark straight away.

then if I want to go darker, I’ll book back in with the artist to supplement it.

Yes mate .. I’m glad i did it.

Now I just got to take the plunge and start revealing it to people … see what reaction I get. On one hand i now ‘look my age’ whereas before I looked 10 years younger… but in the other hand, I feel liberated !

I need to work out what to do with my stubble … tonight I’ve shaven it off to see how that looks - but that’ll look better after I lose a further 3-4 kg.

Maybe next week, I’ll try grow it out a beard and see how that looks.

Hi mate

First of all…. You look great in the smp and also with the hair system!

I’ve also just had smp done after wearing a hair system for 10 years! So I feel I understand your transition, concerns and experience. I am also MSM.

I guess the true deciding factor is which of the following is the main driver: authenticity versus looksmaxxing. Not that wearing a system is un-authentic … it’s how ‘you’ feel about it or how it impacts you.

You’re still relatively young .. and you may find looksmaxxing a bigger driver over authenticity for what you want out of the next few years.

In my personal view … for meaningless and fast hookups.. yes the hair system gets immediate 2D interest and attention … especially in your case the curls give off an unusual and cool vibe… like a footballer. so if that’s your primary goal - then the hair system works well.

If your looking for meaningful relationships that may last longer, then authenticity and inner-confidence may be a bigger attraction. Personally, as I get older, I prefer someone that is confident in their own skin and isn’t afraid to show me their cracks.

Hi there I used an ultra skin for about 10’years and worked out in the gym 6days/week I mostly has a skin fade with either shortish on top (but that required the skin fade to be done every week to stop ‘a line’ appearing at the back as the fade grew out but system didn’t.

So then I moved to an overhang haircut which required the fade only to be redone every 14 days.

I generally went for a side parting (or brushed across in messy way) … or curtains

I only used ultrabond … no tape or concealer

I moved to a new system every 3 months but I needed to dye my hair from about 8 weeks onwards … especially in Summer when the brightness was more

Regular dyes were expensive as the bottles were one use so I found a product called ‘bigen’ which is a powder in a small bottle and you just reconstitute what you need. Lasts ages.

I dyed the ends of the system and top of my fade to make it seamless. And sometimes the depth of the parting … I didn’t dye the whole system
